Well it is a PvP reward, so how about something that increases the size of the bulge in your avatar's pants. Then people could choose to display their PvE title in town, while simultaneously being able to indicate their PvP prowess.

Makes no sense.

It would take 5000 Balthazar Faction to get 1 Flame, which rewards...1000 Balthazar Faction.

I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want sweets or alcohol for pvping. I guess people love title grinding or something. Why a Zaishen Medallion which essentially gives you back less faction and yet still have faction for what?

I can understand the celestial sigil and guild invites, even outfitting guild hall in some way, but sweets and alcohol?

Also really hope my tournament tokens can be used in another way. It's starting to take up space.

so that you can have another title that has no impact on the game but looks oh-so-cool, particularly sweet tooth.

as for zaishen medallions--My 2nd account could use some.

Yes it does, a Flame is tradeable with other players which puts it in a higher category of items, so it should cost way more Balth to create than it returns to the end user, it will be made up for in the conversion to gold or other traded items.

I like the Zaishen Medallion idea, in particular the trading of 10 Flames for a Sigil, although that would depress the Sigil market, the spin off would be that more guilds could try other halls to learn them for GvG tactics. eg. changing halls ever couple of weeks.

I think A-net should make an effort to make PvP and PvE as separate as possible. Some possibilities I would like to see are:
The ability to unlock new armor and weapon skins FOR CREATION ON ALL PVP CHARACTERS!!!
What I mean by this is, after unlocking the Primeval Helmet for Warrior, you can now hit the "J" key and create that helmet skin multiple times.
This also means, if I only have one Pvp slot and I play two different professions, I can delete that character and still remake my kool armor when I re-create.

I also think that nothing Pvp related should cost gold, only Balthazar's faction. Make that the new currency for Pvp play. Allow people to buy halls, sigils, capes, Guild Hall NPCS, and more with the Balthazar's faction they earn.

I don't, however, think people should be able to trade Balthazar's faction to other accounts or friends, because it would reduce the significance of having more valued armor or weapon types (kind of like people that buy gold on E-bay and use it to get a bunch of FoW armor, then proceed to boast about how "UBER 1337 HAX THEY ARE". The same goes for people that buy rank 9 hero accounts. Although that is unpreventable, the same outcome would occur if balthazars faction was trasferable accross accounts.

That would kinda suck, but its better than some other options (MINIPETZ YEYE).

I'd really like reward points, but I doubt Anet's going to do that.

Nonetheless, it wasn't code that randomly appeared. The biggest hint is that it was titled "Zaishen Chest" and it dropped random PvE stuff. Secret's out imo.

My friend thought that the chest could be something that you pay like 10k of BF and you can open the chest.

My best guess after the GWW note from chest was that you pay a BF price to get into something where you can also go in with your PvP character. Dungeon like thing, but related to PvP and it drops items. Dunno, we will see =P
