Stunning Strike can be good, but its high adrenaline cost is dodgy as is the fact it requires a condition. That means unless you have an awful lot of conditions, it's going to be uncovered so easily removed. Outside of 3-2-1 spiking on monks, it's not that great. (Because that's what cruel spear does anyway) Also the fact that cruel spear is a definite DW, as it's bugged so that it always inflicts a DW even if dodged/blocked/you're blind is pretty cool (Unless they changed it)

Stunning strike is just slightly better than skull crack. Also, dazed being the last in a stack is kinda pointless. It will just get dismissed/ RC-ed.

I'd say Dazed is far stronger, it's just much more difficult to apply.

Daze is usually on for a much shorter time though, so it's harder to use it to your advantage as it doesn't help a whole lot on spikes.

I'd say that they are far different conditions and trying to decide which is "stronger" is pointless.

I don't know. Dazed really requires the ability to stick for an amount of time in order to work, as you really need some time in order to take advantage of it. Deepwound instantly takes effect along with being extremely powerful, and, as you said, it's much easier to apply, especially when you actually need it.
Of course, I might change my mind if a practical way of applying dazed actually existed, as my argument might be skewed as all the applications of dazed are really bad and/or predictable.

@OP: they provide defense and pressure, passive buffs, but to a lesser degree than they did. Mostly, they're heavily armored midline that require little maintenance from the backline to stay alive.
The Dazed vs Deep Wound argument is kinda funny. Both are powerful when used right, a waste of a slot when used wrong.
BTW...Did I miss an update? when did watch yourself make you lose your adrenaline?0.o

I actually posted the answer to you question in the PvE section of these forums a few days ago. The question that thread was how paragons were being utilized in PvP play. This is what my answer was:

Example of popular paragon builds in pvp:
[skill]Cruel Spear[/skill][skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Power spike[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill][skill]mirror of disenchantment[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill][skill]aggressive refrain[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
[skill]Cruel Spear[/skill][skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Harrier's Toss[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"Shields Up!"[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill][skill]aggressive refrain[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
[skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Wild Throw[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"shields up!"[/skill][skill]Defensive Anthem[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill][skill]aggressive refrain[/skill][skill]Resurrection signet[/skill]
As you can see, some of the same skills are used in all three of these builds. The reason behind this is simple, they are very good. Aggressive Refrain is in every single one of these bars because it is the best IAS (increase attack speed) in the game. It is generally fueled by Anthem of Flame although some people will switch Anthem of Weariness in instead. Spear of Lightning is arguably the best non-elite attack skill for a paragon, so it is used in most builds. Usually a paragon will bring at least one shout or chant that is adrenaline based. This is because it can be used as energy management, due to Leadership's inherent ability.
Warrior is a common secondary profession for a paragon, not only because warriors have some great shouts, but because it allows the paragon to switch from using the standard motivation or command shield, to using a tactics shield. Whenever you play a paragon with warrior shouts, make sure you used at least 9 in tactics so that you can meet the requirement of the tactics shield you will be carrying. There are other paragon elites that are also very good but Cruel Spear and Defensive Anthem are used the most by far. If you would like to try some others, Crippling anthem is my non-meta favorite, so you should try it out!
I hope this helps you understand some of the roles of paragon in today's pvp game.

I hope this helps!
