If i have space to use a blind/cripple rune then i would take a rune of vitae. If conditions last long i/a monk removes them.
As far as insignias go, I always use survivor as my base armor, then adjust it accordingly. eg with a shock axe, change the body to radiants (+energy rune) to give 25 energy.
(It is sometimes fun in AB to use a knights body with a sup absorption on it. Because only warriors seem to attack warriors in AB you nearly always have a -6 damage reduction)

You should always have a blind reduction rune. Having a b surge last 4 secs instead of 7 is a big deal, and of much greater benefit than 10 health. Your 10 health is useless if you're perma hacking through blind. Every blind isn't going to be removed.
Knight's/ABS? Can we keep this a serious discussion?

No. Having the ability to pressure through tons of blinds without having to get every one removed or to still hit things through cripshot spamming is invaluable. Every spot you fill with vitae should have blind reduction or cripple reduction, with blind probably taking precedence.

For axe, I run a Vamp/Ele/Zealous setup usually with a cripple reduction shield with my ele weapon and blind reduction shield on my Vamp/Zealous. If I have Shock I keep an Air Focus in my inventory to swap if I need it.
For hammer I run Sundering/Ele hammers and a Furious Spear with a cripple reduction shield and a +30 en -2 +30 hp wand set for Death Pact.
