Best insignia for Warrior?
Hey all, I just want some peoples input for what they think is the best insignia a warrior can use for PvP (such as GvG). I usually run a shock axe build and sometimes a Devastating hammer build.
I have stonefist on my gauntlets and thats not going to change, but what should I do with the other 4 peices or armor
I have 580 health without survivor insignia so would those really be necessary?
I thought of Sentinels, 100 AL against ele and phys would be nice, less damage dealt is better than a little bit more health wich goes away in one whack anyway right? Dreadnought would be about as good 10 less AL towards ele but dont have the strength req.
Radiats seems ok, prolly not the best choice unless you got an energy intensive build but your prolly doing it wrong if you need alot of energy; although I could see it being of great help if your using shock alot. Exhaustion sucks >.<.
Brawlers and Sentrys seem a little too conditional but I dont know, and Stalwart seems a little unecessary, over the top.
let me know what you all think, Pleas give a reason why you like it and not "cause it rocks" or something like that.
Thanks!

Radiant - For more energy intersive builds, like shock axe.
Survivor - For not so energy intensive builds.
Blessed - Extra armor when using mending.

This is an issue that largely depends upon build. You'll always want to be running a minor rune to maximize your health, and since energy is never a large concern to a warrior, Survivor > Radiant almost every time. (I'm comfortable with 20 energy on a shock axe. I like having 625 health).
However, as long as you're packing knockdowns, you should always have a stonefist insignia.
Basically, I run with:
Hammer/Shock Axe
Survivor on Hat, Chest, Legs, Feet
Stonefist on Hands
If it's a build that doesn't require knockdowns, just replace with either knights or survivor.

If you're using shock, it's nice to have a couple radiant's just for when you want to spam it in bursts. Otherwise, run survivor's or sentinels, with sentinels being worse at VoD/with DP but better otherwise.

Sentinels if you run 13 strength, Health if you're splitting and don't need the energy. Energy for everything else.

...you run the radiant so you can take the extra exhausting hit from using shock and still be able to function properly (meaning you can shock 3 times in a row before you are exhausted out)
Run radiant if you are using shock.
Run survivor if you are not using shock. Sentinel's is fine if you meet the requirement. Run a major in your weapon skill if you are running the survivor (unless you plan on splitting a lot for some reason).

Sounds to me like you already know which insignias to use! I always pack Survivor runes. I prefer the health over the armor because I find, as a Warrior, it's the hexes and conditions that get ya, not the direct damage, though your role always can change that. Gives the healers a bigger buffer.
The only thing better on a Warrior than Survivor is the Radiant insignias, but that's pretty conditional on your build. Personally, I don't like running energy heavy; if I'm having a problem with energy, it's probably the build that's the problem, not the runes.

I run survivors even on 13 strength warriors because I don't bother swapping to elemental most of the time when hitting other warriors, and I assume everyone is as bad as me.
Also, my pvp armor is custom-dyed and I don't want to reroll it.

I run normally all survivors and stone fists, if I'm using shock axe then radiant on chest and legs that extra 5 energy is nice to have for shock.
I use minor for weps (used major for a long time then swapped to minor a while ago and to be honest don't notice any loss in damage out put, god I remember the days when if you didn't have 16 in weps then you where a noob so funny since we now realise there is hardly any difference in damage out put from 16-14).
My health is normally ranging from 600-635.
A note on sentinels though be very careful if you are suffering from weakness it becomes totally useless.

Thanks for all your input. Its helped alot. I now have a set of radiant/stonefist armor for shock axe, and a survivor/stonefist set if Im running without shock. I got a full survivor/stonefist for my hammer build to boost his health up from lack of shield. Is radiant necissary on a hammer build? Dont think ive ever seen a shock hammer, lol.

Yup, plus dev hammer wars aren't all that uncommon atm, so on a spike you get no +armor or +HP if running 13 str & sents.

I believe someone once said 'that's like saying there's no point in standing up because on spikes they're going to gale you'

One thing that nobody has mentioned Wild, is blind and cripple reduction runes. (they stack with your shield)
Here is a post that I think will answer any question you have about warrior gear, it has input from pretty much every top warrior in game.

This one is warrior in General, but has some great tips.

Hope that helps.

Yeah thats a good point I forgot to say I have 1 rune of clarity on my armour and a shield with "I can see clearly now" inscription.
Normally if I'm going hammer Id have the reduce blinde shield + a spear for the times when I'm being targeted.

Think he was just asking about armor insignias.
