I guess a [skill]Destructive Was Glaive[/skill] - style shadowstep shrine capper could work.
Spirit Rift + dark prison + drop the item that knocks foes down (forgot the name.. ) + glaive or something like that.

Sometimes you can combine the Assacaster chain, which is:
[skill]Augury of Death[/skill][skill]Dancing Daggers[/skill][skill]Entangling Asp[/skill][skill]Signet of Toxic Shock[/skill][skill]Deadly Paradox[/skill]
And then adding in something like, for example, [skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill] to use when Augury teleports you to the enemy so you can add that to the spike, or [skill]Nightmare Weapon[/skill] for added life steal, etc.
Certainly it has slightly less armour than an Assassin and the spike chain does less damage, but sometimes you come across ritualist skills that actually improve the build when used as Rt/A instead of A/Mo. AR is certainly a nice damage dealer. I'm not sure if NW triggers with Dancing Daggers, but if it does that would make DD into an even stronger skill by putting on around 50 life steal per dagger.

Aww. Still, can always just use regular attacks with it during any spike downtime. But slower that way.

Spirit strength dagger rits are somewhat common but they aren't so great. Nightmare weapon/ranger spike is also ok for AB. Some people do the whole spirit spammer thing but you aren't terribly mobile that way. I'm fairly sure these are up somewhere on PvX wiki.

Spirit spammer or Songkai healer/ Songkai bonder would probably be the best in AB.
Recuperation works pretty well especially since it has a large range and the regeneration, if you can get up to 14 restoration, can net +3 regen, definitely enough to make a difference.

There are a lot of options available to a Rit and I'm certainly not going to list all the builds here. You'll find what you need on the rit forum.
Regarding your secondary: Speed boosts are helpful so consider skills like [skill]Dash[/skill] or other stances/enchants depending on your secondary. Hex removal can be handy too so take one if you have room for it. All physical professions work fine as a secondary along with [skill]Spirit's Strength[/skill] so feel free to experiment there.
Some sample builds:
[skill]Vocal Was Sogolon[/skill][skill]"Fall Back!"[/skill][skill]"Stand Your Ground!"[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Mend Body And Soul[/skill][skill]Preservation[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill]
Good for boosting the speed of all allies and boosting party armor while being a solid healer.
[skill]Generous Was Tsungrai[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Mend Body And Soul[/skill][skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill][skill]Weapon Of Remedy[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill][skill]Wielder's Remedy[/skill][skill]Renewing Memories[/skill]
Can improve party damage by spamming weapon spells and capable of condition removal without relying on a spirit.
[skill]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill][skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Mend Body And Soul[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Spirit Transfer[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill]
Capable of spamming heals due to AwS.
[skill]Spirit Rift[/skill][skill]Ancestor's rage[/skill][skill]Channeled Strike[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Spirit Burn[/skill][skill]Generous Was Tsungrai[/skill]
Pretty good AoE and single target dmg with e-mgmt.
Spirits that affect all allies in range such as Life or Recovery are useful. Offensive spirits aren't very powerful due to the presence of nukers so bring only 1 or 2 of these if you have spells that rely on them.

The above could solo-cap most shrines. I never managed to solo the Ele Shrine with it though
The idea was to pre-cast Kuurong, so that if a Sin thought I was an easy target I could drop them, knocking him over, and cast Weapon of Shadow on myself before I finished him off.
With shrines, similar idea...Pre-cast Kuurong, stand just out of range of shrine, cast Resilient Weapon / Weapon of Shadow, Cast Spirit Rift, run in and drop Kuurong, cast Ancestor's Rage, repeat as necessary.
Finally, I ran a dual build with another alliance member a while ago:
[skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Cruel was Daoshen[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]"Make Haste!"[/skill][skill]Resilient was Xiko[/skill][wiki]Agony[/wiki]
One of us used Agony, while the other used Destruction. Pre-cast Daoshen as much as possible and keep using "Make Haste!" on each other (at 6 command it can be kept up continually)...Idea was to run up to a shrine, cast spirits just out of range, pull NPCs/players out a little into range of Agony, run up, re-cast Daoshen (causing you to drop your current Daoshen), Drop the new Daoshen, use Ancestor's Rage.
It worked really quite well ^^

Grasping was Kuurong is insanely fun in AB.

you forgot the item spell... either protective was kaolai or something else but you need that for the build to actually work, especially when you dont carry the flag half the way...
