The Japanese will be loving the Patient Spirit buff, it might even see play in other timezones. Dervish elites are still pointless so I can't see people changing from Mel/Wearying. Magebane needed to be hit although I think recharge might have been a better area. All the other skill changes are pretty much the usual wha?

Maybe consider D/W with new "coward!" 4 adrenaline without other adrenaline skill is PRETTY spammable.

Interesting, I doubt "Coward" will be seen on Warriors, since it's just an elite and ranged Bull strike, but, I'm sure a use for this skill will pop up.

Massive fail IMO, really other than some Hero IA crap (which makes them semi more viable for PvP due to spike ability, reducing acctual "Player vs Player") they really didn't do much
Warmongers and Magebane were expected, but yeah, I agree with the random darts on the rest.
Atleast they left Chaos Storm alone

"Balanced around TA" is a stretch. Yeah, Warmonger's got nerfed, but Asscasters are still too strong and did not get touched.
Angorodon's Gays needs a further nerf. Watching bloodspike after bloodspike on burning isle, seeing a team with no true ability whatsoever beat (or even viably challenge) a top 10 guild by button mashing shows there is a serious problem with this. Buffing "Fall back" doesn't help...
Yay, give Dervishes more Deep Wound. Hey Izzy, can you make Eviscerate a non-elite "melee attack" please?
To "compensate" for Ancestor's + Splinter, NPC's got buffed and the VOD health penalty is gone. So NPC's will still get blown up by Splinter charged Melandrus, just not quite as fast? One, two extra hits now?
But on the upside for my warrior, Sight Beyond Sight + enchant mod = GG Blinding Surge.
Diversion + Wastrel's can be a pretty scary combo now if the second monk is locked down. Kind of an "I dare you" situation. If a mez can squeeze it on their bar, of course...
OVerall, not a good update for the amount of waiting and speculating. I agree with the dartboard feel. Izzy needs to ignore the "make bad skills good" crowd and make adjustments based on what the game really needs.
Right now teams are putting party healing on Paragons. I'd rather see LoD come back than looking at people squeezing blood out of turnips. The two buffed skills need a lowered recharge to be viable.

see where im going with this?
expertise is one thing but the +e now will be annoying.. albeit 2 but still, will have to try out I guess...

Wasn't the whole point of making it 10e not to make i useless, but dispromote mindless spamming, in the same way if you mindless spam Crippling shot, you'll also lose energy.

Yes I love how Ancestor's or Splinter weren't even touched when 90% of the people out there run rit runners for the sole purpose of VoD rapeage.
Also the VoD changes won't matter when a Ritualist buffs your melees and all the NPCs blow up. Fixing the AI and how it responds to being *cough* blown up, might be worthwhile...
(Oh wait people have been asking that for years...)

We know, you always say that.
Anyway, not a bad update at all. Don't fix what isn't broken after all. VoD was a problem and it is seeing some changed. We will have to see how it works out. Only time will tell I guess.
No overpowered skills in the metagame that were an obvious problem, so also no major nerfs. Some skills that were a bit too strong (Warmonger's, Magebane, HEV and Aura of Stability) that got a slight nerf. Dervish gets another non-elite deep wound, which is a good thing. Some buffs that might be interesting. Coward, YAA and Caltrops most of all. And to finish the update some useless buffs.

Wail of Doom actually isn't that useful IMO, it can stop adrenal spikes and sin chains but really doesn't cut down on autoattack damage, which is really significant. Whenever I've messed with it in TA, it's always come across as rather marginal compared to other solutions.
On another note, I could've gone with a glance at Signet of Humility also, but that's just me.

Badly needed nerfs:
- "Fear Me!" Raise the adrenaline to 6, make it single-target only, or drop the energy it kills. IWAY is beatable, yes, but it's severely annoying to any balanced team.
- Signet of Toxic Shock. Either make it cost energy if it deals no damage (prevents mindless Assacaster spamming, or kills their energy even faster), or lower the damage it deals.
- Not a skill, but update NPC AI in GvG to run away from AoE like Splinter, then regroup in a different way. That would nerf the Splinter bomb blockway meta that's really annoying.

IMO if divine healing/clone were at half cast/recharge/heal from where they are now, and blight was buffed with the 5+5 concept, we might see some blight/prot builds gaining popularity. At 2 cast and 30 recharge, they just aren't going to be useful right now.

Seriously... no skill balance would be better than a skill balance of this nature... its sort of like saying ''we wanna show we care by updating the game, but in all honesty we dont care enough to do it properly, so pick some comical/unused skills and buff them; maybe the players will find it so funny that they will forget about the fact we just dont give a damn anymore.
What other games are you all playing? I hear alot of talk about Call of Duty 4...
