And I got the order right before the final . Congrats to Mistral Edge for that original Me/E. Now let the discussion about assassins and ineptitude begin

Failure to adapt? Guilds were going in knowing 100% their opponent was running it and still not building to counter it. The one guild that I saw actually run hex breaker warriors was scoring kills quickly.

Build Wars is fun, Anet still has time to change the name of GW2 to it.

HGH won because that map is very well suited for healing between the upper and lower parts and CiaL or whichever sin team doesn't know how to call tactics for that build. The new version of LOLsin has become nearly as deadly as the old one, to which there weren't very many good counters. Add in Clumsiness spam and necro hexes being trash and you've taken away a lot of the winning tactics that used to be used vs. sinsplit.

HGH ran sins 3-4 matches out of 10 also. But not the sineptitude kind. It's the weaker sins+eles combo.

Yeah, we saw CiaL was running sineptitude so we specced them with hex breaker. The first round of playoffs is hard because you don't know if the other team is 100% sineptitude, outside of [Me], and trying to spec it is harder. cE did a great job guessing HGH's build for druids, but for some reason didn't have enough time to prepare for the finals.

Sins just happen to be superior in the meta that is currently being ran. Maybe this is a sign that the meta and GvG mechanics are a problem, not sins themselves.

There will never be a true indicator of who is the best guild in these MAT's until the day Anet gives exactly the same build to both teams and says go at it. So I guess it is what it is, a guessing game.

The world championships were guessing games too. The MATs should make it even easier to guess tho, since you will have more matches to look at. And it isn't like Me's build came as a surprise, I even mentioned it earlier in this topic if I remember correct. That people still complain about it says more about the people then about the skills. If I give you the choice between road A and road B and you know that on road A there is a bridge and you know I planted explosives on that bridge to make it explode as soon as you are on it. What does that make you if you pick road A?

The fact is so called "BESTGUILDSAROUND" are just stuck with that boring mirror-vod-rampage stuff.
I'm more than glad with the outcome :-)
Sinsplit is propably only proper counter against Splinter VoD Rampage.

Would love to see you do better on that map vs that guild.
Besides the fact that [Me] played really well ( how can they not? they only play 1 build ) Wurms is by far the best map for them.
We tried to spec a bit after loosing to them on the same map earlier. We tried out a e/d wich we never ran before and by some communication errors it ended up failing.
The new VoD heavily favors split builds and is RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOng ridiculous for sin split as it is nearly impossible to get many of their npc down while they are sure to get atleast some. By the time VoD hits and the npc's reach the stand they do +40% dmg and if u cant aggro them, ball em up and kill em they will end up killing you with the insane dmg bonus and shiney new skills anet decided to give them.
Even now i cant really think of any build that would have secured the victory..
ps. Shroud of silence sins own.

Well atleast i got Close Encounter spot on, the rest of the top 8 only got there because of builds.
Its not an easy thing to just shove hex breaker on both warriors, you lose shock and the death pact in most cases which are both key skills, but i supose when your against guilds that only stand a chance when they are using sin split then you can justify it, in the off chance that the opposing team doesn't run sin split then they are gonna get dominated regardless.

Pretty much what I thought of todays events as well. Thing is, didnt you guys beat 2 other sineptitude builds in the rounds immedeately prior?
Anyways, thanks for being "relatively balanced's" champions until the very end.
