Rawr Cup Tournament Committee Looking For Help
Hey Everyone,
I am a member of the Guild Cafe Tournament Committee (GCTC) for the next Rawr Cup. One of the things the Rawr Cup wants to do is encourage players who are brand new to GvG/PvP to participate in the upcoming Rawr Cup Tournament (more info to be posted on that soon). In order to help facilitate this, we would like to make some guides available that explain the basics of PvP in a GvG context, as well as how GvGs in general are run. So now we are looking for players to draft up some basic guides, as well as some players to review these guides. The guides will be posted on the Rawr Cup Tournament website, and the authors will get full credit and recognition for them.
Anyone will be allowed to draft up a guide, but the expectation is that it will be accurate and relatively detailed. For reviewing guides, we'd like to have only top players for doing this.
If you would like to draft up a guide, or review, please follow the link below and post a draft of your guide or you intention to act as a reviewer:

Please feel free to post here if you have any questions.

How about guilds... :)
Billiard, great idea about the guides, this way there will be some valuable resources for players interested in getting involved more with PVP/GVG.
How about a similar approach but more active/direct?
How about people who want to create PVP/GVG guilds for new players to play with as guests or even members for the RAWR tournament? Looking around the forum I've seen a lot of people interested in doing more GVG, learning more PVP, but not really wanting to quit their long time guilds (be them PVE oriented or simply not really active in the PVP arena).
I guess more experienced people who are not in a guild at the moment might be willing to spend some time teaching newbies GVG and could start their own guilds and get some guests/members going.
I know there is a thread about guilds looking for players and players looking for guilds, and another one for guests, but I am thinking about specifically this event if there are people who would like to try something like this.
Best wishes.

I actually suggested they have a specific section like that right where you register for the event in order to help people find guilds or fill in spots for the tournament. Pretty sure they are going to set that up with a database of sorts.

Related to guides, there was this link posted in these forums:
http://www.tudy.ro/GW/GvG-Guide.html
It's more than 1 year old, but someone could take it up and bring it up to date. It is based on Anet/GW material so copyrighting shouldn't be an issue.
