What a ranger do in HA?
Hi I'm a new pvp player with some friends and we want to make a organized pvp team starting in TA.
Are the rangers useful? what they do? We all bought the pvp acess kit, so we have all skills lol
Can you send us some builds or any site wich has an entire team build?
We also like to know wich is better HA or GvG wich is easier to play after TA.
We can play in HA with that common PvP weapons or we need green weapons?
How much monk does our team need to have?
well that's it.
Thanks in advance!

On the obvious side, you could do one of the dozen variants of RangerSpike. But more practically, you won't see a Ranger in a Heroes' Ascent balanced group much. The most I've seen them outside of gimmicks like SpiritWay and HeroWay (as R/W Thumpers) is as part of a ranger-heavy semi-balanced.
In other words, unless you like spikes or gimmicks, you won't be seeing Rangers much.

There are plenty of builds at www.pvxwiki.com. I'm sure others will point you to additional resources.

HA is easier in some ways, harder in others. HA has a significantly higher rate of killing than GvG, and pure pressure builds don't do as well as a build capable of spiking a target down. So really, it's up to you. Do you like slower, more methodical pressure pacing like GvG, or spike-a-minute back and forth of HA? I suggest observing a few Halls of Heroes matches and a few Guild vs. Guild matches with top guilds to get the gist of it all.

All the weapons create-able by the PvP Equipment panel are maxed, with the maximum number of mods for any weapon. They're identical to greens and golds from PvE, but have much more generic skins. Same thing with armor.

Unless you have other characters specifically contributing to support (Motivation Paragons, e.g.), you want three monks. Typically you'll have a Healer's Boon healer with Heal Party (HB Heal), a Restore Condition prot monk (RC), and a Word of Healing Infuse monk (WoH/Infuse).

Yeah I saw some HA battles and I didn't see ranger, only some rangers with hammers and pets. But I like ranged professions and fast kill like sins
but I think they aren't used too much in HA. ATM I'm training with some builds from pvxwiki in RA lol

If you're running a build with friends, you could probably find a place for a ranger. For example, take a cripshot instead of a snare, or a magebane instead of a PD. If you're looking to PUG for a balanced group though, you probably won't find a spot for a ranger outside of gimmicks.

It should be easy (comparatively, at least) to get into a HA party as a R/W Thumper (Hammer Ranger). If you want to play a ranged profession in a more balanced build, try a Motivation Paragon. If you're in TA, either use a Thumper or a Magebane Ranger.
Oh, and be careful with PvX builds. There are some solid builds on there (the Thumper builds and the Magebane/Burning Arrow/Crippling Shot/Broadhead Arrow builds are usually pretty good), and then there are some really strange builds that don't work particularly well, especially for Rangers.

Well I guess I'm iving up on ranger becase my ping is high about (200-400ms) and I can't interrupt with this ping =/
but I didn't tried seriously yet
Is it possible interrupt 1 sec cast spells with around 500 ms ping? 2 sec cast I can interrupt normally

Yes it is, you might want to stay a little closer to your target if you're rusty.

You have 0.40 seconds for the skill being used to catch your eye, i think.
Not sure on the full number, but it's possible!

It's possible to interrupt 1/4 sec casts with 500 ping. It's just prediction.

Keeping your eyes on the other team's health, positioning and how defended they are also helps your prediction!
IMO anyway!

Choking Gas is absolute win in the current HA meta. 90% of all HA teams take a heavy caster midline, and most of those professions have lots of 2s casts.

One of my builds uses a CG ranger, I put the mes on the SoR para and let the CG use seeking arrows and camp the spirit spammer.

Choking Gas = Preparation. Seeking Arrows = Preparation. Are you just trying to sound cool, or do you actually try to use 2 Preparations at once?
Or were you talking about something like Crossfire or Called Shot? Either way, it doesn't matter if it's blocked, Choking Gas still interrupts. So what the heck are you running?

Seeking Arrows is used for a sure interruption of Ghostly Hero. Choking Gas is for normal game/when Ghostly is dead.
