Para/Warrior AB Build
Hey all, I've been working on this build for a few days now and I hope to have completed it. The only things it isn't so good at is huge damage (I mean, what isn't) and conditions, but it can attack very fast thus do quite a fair bit of damage.
Anyway, tell me what you think and I'd love it if anyone could give me any tips or suggestion for making my Para better in AB
Here's the build:
[skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Enduring Harmony[/skill][skill]Anthem of Flame[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Mighty Throw[/skill][skill]Barbed Spear[/skill][wiki]Maiming Spear[/wiki][skill]Leader's Comfort[/skill]
Attribs: 12 Leadership, 12 Spear Mastery, 3 of choice
Runes: Minor Leadership on Head, Minor Spear Mastery, Sup Vigor, Vitae, Attunement. All with Centurion's insignias.
Weapon 1 (general use): Furious^10 Head, 15^50, +30 HP
Weapon 2 (energy boost): Zealous Head, Same as above
Shield with +30 HP and -5 Luck of the Draw.
Basically, cast Soldier's Fury + Enduring Harmony before battle. Keep Anthem of Flame up. When fighting use FGJ followed by Barbed + Maiming to Bleed and slowdown, then spam Mighty Throw. Leader's Comfort for healing.
I know it's probably far from perfect, so I'd like you guys to give me any pointers you can to improve the build. Cheers

I'd go for a different mod on the shield, -5/20 is generally bad (Ensign explained it somewhere, I know it's in the Ultimate Monk guide).
+10 vs something works better. I guess vs. fire would do good in AB. With the mind blasters and SH ele's around.

Hmm yeah I never thought of 10 vs. Fire actually. I'll try that and give it a go, thanks
I need some kind of skill to remove stances. I may put [wiki]Wild Throw[/wiki] in instead of something to take down those stance rangers if there are any. But the thing is, it's hard to remove anything from the build above.

What I was also thinking is to get rid of Anthem of Flame and add a condition removal skill in there, since Enduring Harmony will make FGJ run for 30 seconds rather than 20, so you only have 15 without the 100% more adrenaline.

You run Soldier's Fury without a Refrain? Hm.
As a P/W, there's also Frenzy. Since you're a ranged attacker, you'll usually get away with it (and you'll know in advance when you're not). Less clunky than AR, I like it. But viewpoints differ widely.
Anthem of Flame is outclassed by Anthem of Weariness for a PUGging Para. Helps immensely against the Ranger and Warrior shrines, as I'm sure you're aware of.
FGJ! is cool, though I prefer Focused Anger. You might not want to spend your Elite slot on it...
Whatever you do DON'T USE Mighty Throw alongside it as it absolutely kills your adrenaline build up. It interferes with your (Elite!) IAS(!!), murders your bonus from FGJ!(!!!). In short, kick it out.
Leader's Comfort: interrupt food, heals for a pathetic amount when you really need it. Less than meh. If I want a self-heal of a sort I step into Command for "Fall Back!" or "Never Surrender!" which actually DO stuff. Also, anything with 'Restoration' in the name is arguably a better choice.
Right now there is really no helping you because your build lacks focus and counteracts itself in some ways. You can stay a jack-of-all-trades if you want... but that's what Focused Anger is for.

If you need a way to get your health back up, you're going to have to rely on your secondary for it, Leader's Comfort is not only a crap ability, it is very dysfunctional in AB. Mighty Throw is actually not that good, because you're spending 3 seconds not building adrenaline for one attack that's only marginally more damaging than just whacking someone with Spear of Lightning.
If you're looking for attacks to fill the bar, consider:
[skill]Barbed Spear[/skill]+[skill]Disrupting throw[/skill]+Maiming Spear
[skill]"Go For The Eyes!"[/skill]+[skill]Vicious Attack[/skill]
[skill]Blazing Spear[/skill]
[skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill]
[skill]Harrier's Toss[/skill]
[skill]Wild Throw[/skill]
For AB, I can not emphasize [skill]"Fall Back!"[/skill] enough, it's seriously half of the reason for even considering bringing a paragon. The profession scales very poorly with small player counts, so unless you're hanging around a friendly mob (which, by the way, means your team fails), you're not going to accomplish much.
If you need a self-heal, consider /D for Natural Healing.
