I used to propose this skill for only recall. But I guess it can apply to all shadow stepping skills.

I really don't know what to make of them. I think they'd be fine overall if the recharges were prohibitive to the point that you had to put some actual consideration into them, they certainly shouldn't be a defining combat strategy.
One of my old suggestions was to lose your stance and disable all non-attack skills for a period of time, which could promote a lot more caution with them as well as kneecap the high-DA builds that are all over right now.
All maintained shadow steps should have a disable period attached to their cancellation.

It's hard to believe some people here mentioned in sinsplit AoB Derv. And everyone told me he sux.
WHOS LAUGHING NOW?
/ontopic
Yah, I haven't seen many instantces of sinsplit, but whenever our GvG team ends up close to our base, its all about the NPC's. In fact, i've seen GvG teams IGNORE the humans and go for the NPC's

I was also flamed by dozens of people 6 months or so ago for suggesting a change to AoB adding "attack skills cannot be blocked."
People called me stupid and these changes were over the top ect.....
Now look at grenth.
Not to get too off topic but bringing back the evade mechanic would be a very good change for the game. It kept a lot of things that were anti-block in check. After everything became block it all got to powerful and was nerfed to near crap. Anyways that's just my thoughts. See ya in 6 months

When Pious Assault didn't give Deep Wound, running anything other than Mel for Wearying spam was utterly retarded. Now Balth meets mobility demands and gets some frontline resilience while Grenth gets to cockblock Aegis, and both can puke out ridiculous amounts of spike damage, which is what sinsplit has always loved at the stand.

The problem is there's a lot of discrepency between skill-requiring blocks like short-duration stances and Guardian and dumb party-wide blocks like Aegis or Shields Up. Ward strikes kind of a middle ground.
This has resulted in a rather idiotic situation where anti-block stuff is not exactly uniformly good or bad, because on one side it discourages Aegis/Ward overload, but on the other hand, it promotes mindless pain-training.
Personally, I'd rather just see Aegis put in its place and never see anti-block shit again.

Ward vs Melee used to be evade before it was changed to block. Aegis has always been block. Even if you did bring back evade. Aegis would still be in the same situation we have now but ward would be fine. The biggest fundamental difference is aegis can be stripped while you have to wait ward out.
If any of the anti-evade or anti-block measures became too powerful teams would switch to what wasn't being used the most creating a balanced middle ground where neither one was over powered without making any tweaks to skills. The meta would balance itself out. That's my reasoning at least.

The change was mostly due to it being a rather non-intuitive system that really only caused confusion and skills that only targeted one mechanic or the other were generally crap. The removal of the division hasn't really helped that, pretty much every usable skill that ignores block now ignored evasion back then too, and the skills that were immune to one or the other are slightly less crap, but still crap.

Block reduce the need for as much healing, remove it and healing has to go up to compensate. That may require another healer or two in the party if you don't do it with mechanisms like block.

Who knows, maybe he has been giving some people secret lessons in how to play assassin. After all, if someone knows how to play one, it is him.

It's the case of an optional elite due to the Pious Assault buff.
AoB was best suited because of the 2/3 upkeep and armour buff.
I still prefer Rush over him though.

Is it that surprising given how bad Anet is at balancing GvGs?
