its called hex pressure, the pressure comes from the inability for the monks to cast + dmg from SS + the warrior + the sin. malace helps because it decreases the monks energy to a +3 regen (+2 if they are in high set) just adding to the pressure.

If you can't get their health bars low, they'll eat the damage packet if they care at all and the party heal mops up. I don't see how you plan on keeping health levels low enough that a singular 47 damage packet is going to break a monk when degen's limited to 2 Migraines and Phantasms and the "front line" is a hammer warrior and a Deadly Arts Assassin.

i dont think you get it dude.
the 1st thing any "good" strat caller will do VS a normal hexway is call an offencive split. the thing is this build is made for vs thoes kind of splits ( see the assasin ) due to (normaly) the split consisting of 1 melee 1 support and 1 monk or flagger. support normaly meaning crip shot or E/D type thingy.
so, while the sin is casting the hex's onto the melee/ranged offencive players, the mesmer can start work on the defencive (monk/s), if they have a e/d you can leave that alone, due to the fact that siphon strength + speed on the melee = the rit/a being able to kite from him, and if your rit cant hold up from just a e/d hitting him he's badatthegame.
while the melee is QQing to his monk/s to remove the siphon's so he can hit stuff and do the big domarge that they do, the monk has migrane + frustration + Conjure+ a sin with a small-mediocer "spike", but due to the fact that the mesmer can interupt everything that the monk/s do the gank team folds (lack of healing). causeing the anti split to come back to the main team, and the pressure to go back onto the main team and to be increased (hopefully you will timer kill the gank team (kill after an even number of mins)). forcing the moral in the main team, leaving there gank with dp.
and if you dident know because of ViO almost every guild is running some retard-friendly shadow stepping sin split.

It's not that we don't get it. It's that you're wrong about the build being a good counter.
