kk time for kids to stop bickering
asfar as op, yes, there should be an update to allow the new GWEN armors. obviously anet wanted this in the first place when they added the RP system in the first place by getting elite armors. fissure armor is there, thus everything should be there.
as far as the pve kids, sorry, stop crying over your i want emote shit for the last time, emotes have nothing to do with pve/pvp you kids keep forgetting emotes were in the game from the beginning to show experience in groups for pvp. you pve kids complained for 2 years and you got your titles, THAT IS YOUR EMOTES.
as for as the pvp kids, keep selling your zkeys to the pve kids so they can pretend they have an emote and be good like you

chaos gloves are ugly and stupid, they should penalize you, like -1 to all attributes just for being so annoyingly ugly. therefore give them to the pvp people for free. therefore people who wear them in pvp might actually have to be good...

I think it's obvious that such things shouldn't be easy to get. I think that all of them should require fancy armor unlock or we can even make "Exotic Armors" which would be GWEN collector's items.
My idea of price list is simple: Chaos Gloves would cost 300rp and the rest of this GWEN colletor's items would cost 100 rp each except glasses which would be 50rp.
AN Don't push pvp players to play something they don't want to get something they want ( ). Make it expansive, but possible to get for RP.

HAY GUYS I HAVE FIGURE OUT WHY THE PVER'S DONT WANT PVPR'S TO HAB CHAOS GLOVES!!
.
.
.
You see, to get chaos gloves in PvE, you have to grind some stupid ass title and beat some extremly boring game, so people don't enjoy what they're doing, and in PvP, you can earn chaos gloves by earning reward points, which can be achived through winning tournys in HB and GvG, which they enjoy doing...IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!! PVER'S JUST WANT US TO SUFFER LIKE THEY DO!!!

Some skins are already PvP-character exclusive. Not that they shouldn't be PvE aswell, however.

The reason this argument fails big time is because nearly no PvE player here managed to see and\or knows the amount of work and skill that's needed to make the amount of RP's that chaos gloves will probably cost if they get in (minimum 300 i would say).
90% of the PvP community doesn't even have access to RP's via AT's and mAT's which is the main source of it.
I mean, everyone can join AT's, but the big change to rating loss means that guilds and players don't join unless they're 99% sure that they can match top players.
The XTH won't get you enough RP's to earn stuff like chaos gloves if they get in, it normally nets 100-150 RP's a month to your average PvP'er.
Nearly all the PvE players who were against it in this thread saw this suggestion as free chaos gloves for PvP players when PvE'rs have to work for it, when in fact most PvPers won't ever get the required amount of RP's.
If any of you guys who were against the idea try to create a PvP character and try to get the RP's for some of the fancy skins, you'll see its not as easy as you think and realize why your arguments fails.
"If you want PvE items, do PvE" - Fail statement that doesn't make any sense given the fact that PvPers already have most of your precious elite armors and skins unlocked via RP's if they want.
If that's what you think then you guys should really make a petition to remove the skin unlocks from PvP altogether, like someone already said here.
This all comes down to you guys not really understanding that getting say, 300 RP's is far more difficult than zoning in and out of riven earth 100 times a day.

lol. Well you could also argue that some things should be kept pve exclusive. But either way I don't really care. I don't have them and probably won't ever get them. :P

I dont like chaos gloves myself. I play and enjoy both pvp and pve. The primary argument against allowing chaos gloves to be purchased with RP's is that they are a reward for a certain level of achievement in PVE. RP's arent earned in PVE and so shouldnt apply to PVE rewards. This has nothing to do with the difficulty involved in earning RP's.
I do not have the option of spending gladiator points, fame, or reward points on pve rewards and I do not have the option of spending sunspear, lightbringer, or reputation points on pvp rewards. That is appropriate.
If rewards for one type, category, or area of play can be purchased with points (or whatever) earned in another area of play then by extension all rewards should be available for purchase with any of the various types of earned points. Personally I think that buying pve rewards with RP's is as silly as the idea of killing raptors to advance your kurzick rank.
I do however believe that unique rewards for each area of play would be the way to go. It is not that I dont want a devoted pvper to be able to spend his RP's on something nice. I just want it to be something unique to pvp.

Z-keys originate with points earned in pvp. The fact that some or many pvpers then choose to trade their pvp reward (z-keys) for a pve reward (gold) does not change that fact.
BTW I dont think that you can favorably compare the "cool" factor of the z-emote to even a bambi let alone wolf, phoenix, etc.

Question: Why would you res a thread just to disagree with it when you could just leave it dead if you don't like the idea?
Oh, and because the origin of Z-Keys and RP is in PvP doesn't make them unobtainable by people who purely PvE. It's not really like PvP has half the shit PvE does, and that weapon / armour skins are going to bother you unless you come onto Observe mode just to get pissed off. Besides, you've already got people who play PvP most of the time cruising in PvE shit so it'll make little difference; just a lot harder to get than in PvE.

Been away for a couple of weeks due to the death of a computer. Saw that this thread had been resurrected so I participated.
The fact that a pvper can choose to sell his z-keys doesnt change the fact that all z-keys originate in pvp and that the supply is completely controlled through pvp.
I believe that PVPers should have access to unique pvp skins/rewards/whatever as much as PVEers should have their own rewards.
Afar as I know pretty much all weapon skins are available to both PVP and PVE. PVE has a few armors that are not available to PVP. PVP has an emote chain and cape trimming that are not available to PVE. I personally think that, since it is much more difficult for an average PVPer to gain access to the various PVP rewards than it is for an average PVEer to gain access to PVE rewards, PVPers should get a bit more on the reward side. But I think it should be something uniquely their own. Not just an extension of a PVE reward.

Only for armor should pvp characters upgrade to the elite counter part of current pvp armors. There's the dragon armor that pvp warriors can wear, and that can be upgraded to the elite counter part. I forgot the name of that elite armor, but I'm sure you are all aware of what I'm talking about. If Anet can find a sensible cost for pvp characters to upgrade their armor, kudos. As for weapons, use your pve character to acquire the ones you want for your pvp character and transfer the weapon to it. There, you can customize it and do what ever you want. There's no reason a pvp character should upgrade their weapons when you can use pve characters to get and transfer them.
Wits, people. Wits!

No denial here, but you can still earn the title by means of PvE.

Well as said before, there's no reason that the skins that are exclusive to PvP shouldn't be obtainable in PvE. However, emotes should be either removed or left alone and cape trims should stay where they are. I'm not against any removal of the PvP-exclusive emotes, but keep in mind if you want one just fork over the 250k to do it consdiering it's not that much.

Just because you don't enjoy the "grind" to rank 5 delver which is done just by playing through eotn ONCE, and just because you don't enjoy farming ecto in UW(which, actually, doesn't need to be farmed to get the required ecto anyway...SC anyone?), some others might. I do. I enjoy it better than wailing at undying enemies in PvP or constantly being blocked or interrupted, or not having my team capitalize on my shutting down their WoH with my mesmer or....it goes on. Dealing with cheap tactics in PvP is boring, frustrating, and downright unenjoyable to me.
IMO, if PvP'ers can have chaos gloves and other PvE-only armors/items, PvE'ers should get emotes. I can use your very argument against you about emotes. You have to grind fame in HA with IWAY and other cheap ass boring team builds in order to have your precious bambi/wolf/tiger what have you. You're just pissed off that you can't get something that PvE'ers have.

Disagreeing with this idea is basically the same as saying "disallow PvP characters PvE gear". If you're really against this idea, make a thread petitioning that.
