Good to see some of these imbalanced skills finally get hit with the nerf bat, but I'm a little confused as to what the hell happened to shroud of silence. It didn't popup in any gimmicky builds I know of, and I'm sure there were other things that needed to be addressed more than this. Now with the nerf, why would anybody ever use this when blackout recharges in 1/3 the time, lasts just as long with 2 points in domination magic as shroud does with 12 points in deadly arts, and disables all skills when shroud only disables spells? Not to mention that blackout only disables the casters skills for 5 seconds while shroud disables the casters spells for a whopping 15 seconds. Now this elite assassin skill has less functionality than a regular mesmer skill. I'm not just whining about this because I'm a sin (I rarely use the skill anyway), but just wondering if anyone else thinks the shroud nerf was a little heavy-handed.

Aside from that I like the update alot.

Let's first see what happens before we undo buffs...
People QQ about WoD being overpowered and everyone will run one now...
Let's see what happens first...

Nice update, except that Wail of doom update made Necrospikes / N/rt healers even more ridicoulus now.
N/Rt healers & icy veins is still degenerating HA.

ViO is only applied on the players, VoD on both the players and the npcs. Which is probably the reason to keep both.

Good update....WoD being reverted in 5...4....3...2.. But until then observer will be funny I think. Glad to see no buff to gale or nerf to mend touch, stride, and cripshot nerf is fine no big loss there it still great. Reverting cast time to 2 sec on HP is ok, but think they should have put the healing back to where it was as well. I think the war kd's, less wards, less cancel cast aegis(= less aegis) WoD will make for lots of dirt naps

Aoe Weaken armor might be an interesting skill on a mes/nec fast cast taint in conditions builds coupled with a few extra means of triggering deep wounds like body blow which is already run.

Wail won't last long at its current state.
This is a good shakeup and I like it. Look forward to watching observer mode again. And Lion's Comfort is FINALLY not garbage!

At a glance, extremely satisfied that you're getting moving. I don't have time to analyze everything right now, but concerned about Wail, as is everyone else.

One thing i don't like is the heavy hit on the E/D. It was a good flexible template that should be in existence, not sure how playable it is now. And wail is too much.

Very good changes all-around this time, though I strongly disagree with the direction taken for dom mesmers.

Overall good update I think, Wail is a bit iffy maybe, but at 4 seconds, I guess we'll see. Magehunter's is probably better than dhammer now.

Agreed, Mesmers need to move away from interruptions, very seriously.

Wail of doom is the ultimate form of linebacking now!
They wont meet the weapon req or get the bonus dmg!! haha
I'm going to love a 10 dmg eviserate. Not.
WoD needs changed.
Most of the other stuff looks great though, thanks for listening to community thoughts.

Unlike some of the people here I think the change to WoD is basically sound. The exact numbers might need tweaking, maybe going for a longer duration with a slightly less drastic effect, or whatever, and maybe changing the skill type yet again, but...
Yeah, this is the most innovative update since I started playing GW.
