The most overpowered? It is hard to say since there have been many overpowered builds.
My favorite? Dual orders IWAY. That shit was pure rape.

The most overpowered builds are ones that never lose to any other meta build while simultaneously being unable to kill another copy of itself. According to this way of looking at the question, I would have to say that it's very close to a tie between the original Ranger Spirit Spam and the much more recent Paragon and Thumper build. The number of times I played in matches consisting of these builds that frustratingly ended in a /roll of the die is not something I like to think about.

People have been posting Signet of Ghostly Might quite a bit. I don't think that counts, seeing as it's ability to target enemies was definitely not intended and it was fixed pretty quickly.

Definately Spirit Spam. 20+ fertile seasons? Natures renewal that removed enchantments on use? That build was unbeatable once it got to holding halls until some people left.

Run OoP on a necro and OotV on a me/n, 3 ranger. There you go, arrows go pew pew!
I guess armour swapping comes in here too, running dual sups so you can invest more in tactics, beast mastery and shit...

spirit spam indeed, edrain monks powered with quickening, natures dropped all enchants *and* hexes back then, combined with oathshot it made the build imune to a alot of things. incendary arrows/choking gas on 2 rangers kept monks shutdown and even if your hero died you could just keep their heros from capping pretty much forever. prolly one of the best synergy builds ever before it got nerfed to hell.

Uh, I think the original EoE bomb was way more overpowered than spirit spammers....I mean; that was instant kill, ffs! From a distance that was double the aggro buble...

EoE was pretty much always just an amusing gimmick that gibbed inexperienced groups. It was hardly overpowered, and was not the reason EoE was toned down.
