Cheating in Alliance Battles.
I've seen one particular form of cheating quite a few times these last days. It is a saccing BiP player killing himself over and over, with a second player (preferrably a mesmer) instant-rezzing him so he can sac himself to death again. Sometimes you have two or even three players saccing with one rezzing. This behavior destroys the game and invariably leads to defeat for the team of the cheater. Obviously this is a case of attempted sync-joining to gain quick faction. Nobody on the team bothers playing when the cheater is on it, and even if they did, it would be hopeless, no matter the map.
Can anything be done about this?
(I am sorry if this is an old thing that I've only recently begun noticing. Still it is prevalent and should be addressed.)

Is this another of the Kurzick / Luxon "spies" and all that?

Well personally, this is the first I have ever heard of this happening since ABs have existed.
That said, this sounds like just another retarded group of 13-year old fanboys who think they're somehow giving their side an advantage by causing their enemies to lose a match or two at the cost of tons of their own time. Pay it no mind, obviously it can't be that common.
Worst-case-scenario? They cause a loss or two.

This happens sometimes when 2 idiots or more are bored. This is really rare, and you can't really do anything because even if they are ruining the game for others, they aren't abusing anything.
Reminds me of lucky luke (god knows why lucky luke), where jesse james says "There is no law for those who cheat against themselves."

Of course they are abusing something.
And of course it would be easy to reprimand this. After 10 deaths by self inflicted damage, kick from game and slap a 2 week dishonorable hex on the bastard.

How is this "cheating"? They are obeying all the rules.... it doesn't say that you cant be an idiot and kill yourself a million times.
No matter how annoying or stupid it is people are just going to have to live with it.

I feel your pain but as others said its rare to see this happening so I guess we gotta live with it.

/notsigned btw (more work for Anet rather have them make a good GW2 than fixing minor stuff like these especially if there's no bug behind)

I believe you can /report them for griefing and what not. It's not "cheating" per se and I haven't really noticed this problem when I ab'ed for the Luxon or Kurzick side (though I haven't been doing the Luxon side often these days.)

Since when is griefing not against the rules? You can be banned for it.

It's pretty dumb, kids have nothing better to do I guess. Was only good for griefing when EoE triggered at full health, what they're doing just means you're down 4 people. Must be bored as hell, it'd make more sense just to leech and at least get faction from it. <_<

actually it can be pretty beneficial if you're doing it right...
1 BiP to provide your side with infinite energy while someone else makes sure you're alive. no dp so life is basically your resource...
but than you need 3 other casters, mainly Eles who can abuse this mechanic by spamming their high energy spells like there's no tommorow
so your team of 4 will be:
BiP necro with some other goodies
1 caster/rit with death pact signet
2 fire Eles, pick whichever you preffer
the second slot can also be a fire ele, just with /rit and death pact sig...

Well, first of all the other team will get points from the bipper deaths, and those stack REAL fast.
Second, I don't think this is a case of boredom. I think it's a case of sync-joining.

why not just decount deaths from pre-start?
and self-suicide if your doing it 100-0%health, not effected while under 50%?

It's just the faster version of having an idiot rambo into their other team over and over again. Maybe they need to have a /report for bad players too
