Rank FTL?
If you go to HA, there is one requirement that is obviously the most common. Rank. I know, I know rank proves that ur not a noob, but, everyone has to start somewhere. You've got to look at the perspective of the people who are big time players who pwn in everything, but then even they can't get into a simple team in HA. There is some good in this, but, if some1 puts up a message "GLF PPL NEED VENT/TS LF MONKS/ELES" there will be a broader range of people that are good that'll join that than if some1 messages "GLF PPL R8+++". The best people often doesn't play that often in HA, so even though a person doesn't show rank, that person could be the key to winning in the HoH. So thus, the whole rank business is killing HA. So now I ask: Rank FTL?

I think that even if there is no /rank emote for them, lower ranks like r1 and r2 should be wearable. I managed to pass that rank - rankless barrier last double HA weekend. However it would be handy for anyone close to r3 to be able to wear their r2 rank. Because, the experience of a 1st timer, and maybe a r1 or r2 WILL differ, maybe not by much, but atleast you can choose that r1 or r2 over the r0.
Rank is there for a reason, it sux at first, but it has its purposes.
ADDED: as for people with "rank X" lfg , well that doesnt necessarely help show you will be good. I could spam my (low) rank lfg, but if they asked me to re-roll , well i may have no experience in that new class. Thus I, ranked, would not be as good as somebody unranked, per say who plays that class alot.
Heck, as good as a r10 is, if they just started using a new class, who is better:
Experienced r5 (for example), who has played that class alot?
Un Experience r10, who has never played that class before, ever ?

Rank doesn't tell the truth but it tells something...
You can be r6 and play better than an r8.
Even better, you can be r6 by only playing mesmer and be better than a r9 playing it for the first time.
But than again, an r9 has more experience, and experience goes a long way.
This is my opinon but I am only r5
Edit : kerpall, we kind of said the same thing at the same time

i'm only r1, close to r2 but i've given up on HA.
i hated spending hours trying to get into a group, and then finding out how nooby the group was after 3 hours of setting up.
imo you should be able to show r1 and 2 or at least r2, just to show that your not a total noob and should have at least some idea of what your doing.

This is old news. Everybody who's ever wondered how to flash that neon deer in front of their friends has run into this problem. HA should have been laddered to prevent this, but it's a bit late for that.

Rank should be removed from HA and moved to PVE.
Reasons?
1) Most HA players play HA for fun and are not bothered about grinding fame.
2) Removes judgement against new players. Players will be able to build up a friend list / PVP guild and meet and play with players that are good at PVP. This means that somone that has a small amount of experience, but is a very good player will be able to get into groups easier.
3) The only people that really care about fame are title chasers. While I would love to have a Tiger, I stopped at R7 as I couldnt stand 'grinding' HA over and over for fame. It was a grind for me, I never really enjoyed much of it.
Or at least move the Fame emote to koabd title track XD

This is wrong. Everytime a balance group faces a Fame Farm build it proves they are grinding. That is the reason behind Fame Farm builds. To Farm the emote. They grind day and night to flash there deer/wolf/tiger only to then realize they suck because all they can do is press Escape and rending touch.
Edit: If anything move the deer wolf tiger and pheonix and the ?no1knows? to champion title

wins this thread, and every other thread posted about rank
