id say make all offensive shadowstepping crit strikes and skill description: 50% fialure if crit strikes 5 or lower or something like that
the abuse of warrior or dervish is gone and the element of surpise from the sin still stays. Make them 1 sec cast as well.
Oh and line of sight is bad idea, the whole factions trailer about killing shiro would be messed up then :P

thats actually a nice idea, but then again i dont think shadow stepping is imbalanced soooo =/ meh. and why 1 second cast time? thats like. taking AWAY the element of suprise, gives monks .75 second to pre-prot etc.

Actually yes, they are. Shadowstepping isn't just a few broken skills, it is a broken mechanic that doesn't belong in Guild Wars. That is why it doesn't belong in "balance a skill a day" and why so many people are essentially recommending destroying it as much as possible, without removing it from the game completely and thus breaking the rules of the thread.

shadowstepping on an assassin? should leave it as it is IMO becuase thats what they were made for, i like the idea of something like "XX% failure rate with X crit strikes or lower" this would make it sin exclusive and henceforth stopping abuse from other classes(warrior, monk, derv) also to prevent abuse with things like A/D's make all shadowsteps disable non dagger attacks for X seconds or something
