Intro: I do not post here often, I mostly read so do not take this as a QQ tread, I don't post for nothing, I only post when I feel that it's needed.]

I browsed these forums for about 2 years now and I realised that censure is overused, espcially in the HA forums. ( I do not blame the mods ). This forum is almost like communism. About 25% of the information that is actually posted gets deleted after a minute or so. You guys impose your way of thinking and your perception of what the HA forums should be. This is a FORUM,

M-W definition for forum: "a public meeting place for open discussion "

If half of the opinions are being censored, is it still a "discussion" since it is a one way dialogue? I don't think so. I am asking for tolerance in this topic, of course flaming topics are not accepted because they ruin and the peace and the harmony within the community, but rank discrimination topics or people expressing their feelings about sway. c'mon!.

E.G.: The general rank discrimination tread. Yes it is boring, yes it is annoying, but those "newbs" are a big part of the community and putting them on "mute" just make them feel less and less accepted.

Please, do not let a forum be turned into a second vietnam, or a second china. Liberty of speech is FTW

Yeah, the oppression on these forums is so incredibly ridiculous. You can thank the howdy-doody carebears who whine and bitch every time someone disagrees with them / says the word "crap". That and the people who swear this forum is 4chan. Not a good combo.

Agree that the moderation on guru is over the top, but these forums are far from dead. Also there seems to be a favoritism aspect of these forums directed to people like Kaon, who constantly flame on these forums yet rarely get reprimanded, while newer "unranked" people are more likely to have posts moved into obscure areas, deleted, or censured.

Which has me wondering how long this post will really last. On the other hand, I do understand the need for moderation because this game is updated quite frequently, and each update is a pandora's box that unleashes trolling hell all over guru.

Mods are only human, but there IS a bit of favoritism and oppression of certain opinions. But if you don't like these forums, just don't come here. It's not like we can change any of what's going on.

But I gues it's obvious when you sometimes see what side they choose. (Compare Guild tags, etc...)

As for freedom of speech, I myself am pro full-FOS.

E.G.: Someone walks down the street saying: "Kill all the *, they should die because ..." -Replace the * by any surpressed group of the population (Jews, black people, gays, ...) and replace the ... by a stupid reason, clearly showing this person has a lack of intelligence.
Nonetheless, if someone feels the "need" to run down the streets, I won't stop him.
If you claim you have freedom of speech (Like the Capitalism does), atleast live up to your words and ACCEPT the concequences of that.

However, from experience I know that there will always be discrimination. (If you cencor a racist from making racist remarks, YOU are DISCIMINATING HIM!)
No, I'm not racist/anti-semetic/anti-gay/... I merely understand what TRUE Freedom of Speech means, and that it, in fact, has alot of downsides.

Yeah, on Guru, there is some serious cencor issues ^^

Amen, thats why I dont post anything serious in these foruns ( not that I dont tried in the past ), the mods here are pathetic people frustrated with their real life and/or Guild Wars.

Most of the censoring was against stupid flaming by HA regulars, can't say I miss that. Even letting Kaon or whoever slide is better than no moderation at all.

problems with the moderators have to be discussed with some admins.

i don't know why you posted this in the HA section, nor do i know why you made it a public discussion. also, discussing certain problems with the Moderator you mean might solve the situation a bit more. if it's about main bias in the HA section; i cannot comment, i don't moderate this actively (with exceptions of these things)

you guys just need to post less bullshit. sorry to be this harsh, but some of this is just utter trash. lately, it's been going on without a lot moderation on here because people are slowly calming down and slowing down the flames.

but ok, you guys must know, since you can clearly have all the moderator options to view deleted posts and such!

to sum it up;

=> pm admin, pm moderators, don't do public threads about this, if you're unsure who's being nazi mod, pm a couple of them.

and if you guys wonder what I delete;

off topic, censor out serious flames (mostly those that get reported, maybe some of you don't believe it, but even PvE players read glads arena, and they don't even accept soft flames), trolls, +1 spams, posts that include false information or that are completely stupid (only after someone cleared up that it's not that way so the poster has learned).
