No it hasn't. The only time its ever played on american servers over euro servers is when there are 9 american players in the match.

In no particular order :
Best - Top contender (obviously)
sup - Haven't seen them play recently but assuming they still have their core they are guaranteed a place in the top 8
StS - Same as sup
Euro - Their roster seems to be changing a lot, however a competent guild and I expect them to reach top 16 at least.
dR - Although a decent guild Best is better.
rawr - Although having several nerfs to their build I still expect to see this guild in top 8.
StP - Due to an unstable roster they have been playing far below their potential, assuming they can get their core together for the monthly I have high expectations from them.
other stuff -
vD - Now lod and dervish form was the metagame when they were in their prime and they did excel at it, they have been my long-time favourites. Of the few matches i deem worthy to remember 2 were against these guys when I was in volcano insurance salesmen,(playing an earth tank) and wish them the best of luck in the mat.
noGG - Personally I think we've been playing fairly competently recently and expect a place in the top 16.
Grim - I think this guild may be a surprise contender for the top 8, the few games I've seen them play indicates they have a competent core with a strong frontline.
Be - Although a decent roster I haven't been overly impressed by their performance, personally I think they will be lucky to reach top 16.

We absolutely do not need another thread about which continent has a better excuse for losing, thanks.

We were totally going to get Katie to frontline with me but she's much too powerful and brave of a player to be put on a warrior, it would explode the game.

Somehow i think a combined statement of Martin Kerstein, Andrew Patrick, and Isaiah Cartwright is more reliable than you.
Especially if you combine it with 2 years of experience.
You just made a really big retard out of your self no other words for it. But hey, i know how this goes. Because your ego is in the way you just blame me, the messenger, and consider me an asshole. OR, you could stop fooling yourself and admit defeat, it would perhaps hurt your ego, but it would make you look better. There is no point arguing against facts.

What exactly was I blaming you for? I was only speaking from personal experience, though I do recall a discussion with izzy where I think he said something along the same lines. I may very well be mistaken though. It certainly doesn't seem like 50% of the time, and I have a hard time believing otherwise.
For the record Andrew Patrick was incompetent when it came to the game. I do not consider his statement a reliable source of information. Also my ego has nothing to do with you seeming to be an asshole, you just are.

If i recall correctly, The information provided by Izzy regarding ping during the rawrcup radio show was as follows:
When a match is found the game does a quick check of where everyone's playing from, and it determines the lowest overall ping that can be achieved with an average of both parties.
As it is, when it's 8 americans vs 8 euro's, the ping on an American server would be about 150 for americans and 450 for euros, and the pings on euro servers would be about 350 for americans and 100 for euros, so roughly speaking it would be placed on a euro server about 100% of the time when it's 8 v 8 american v euro.

Correct. This is why Mitch initially pointed out Euros vs Asians are now played on Euro servers as opposed to Asian servers (because the ping thing makes it so that most of the matches are played on Asian servers before).
And we are done discussing this. Back to mAT predictions.

That is quite possibly the worst predictions in this thread. As of right now I haven't seen anything out of rawr indicating that they can adapt to this meta in time to be a top contender. Until then, putting them at #2 is absurd. Don't get me wrong, if rawr can come up with the correct mod to their build in time for the monthly they could win it all, but if that doesn't happen...
I don't think sts has been playing enough, SpNv dropped to r100+, and have been playing absolutely terrible, vD has good players but like others have said before, they cant take npcs with mel derv, sod, lod, and splinter farm them anymore. Hope they prove me wrong, but that's my take on it. I don't think FisH will make top 8, should make top 16 though, they just don't have the builds to go very far.
My top 8 would have to be:
1) dR - I've put dR at #1 so many times, but they have a few strong builds and the right mix of players this time around.
2) OG - This meta is PERFECT for them, I fully expect OG to get second if not first.
3) HGH - Yea this might sound ridiculous, but the only map we will have trouble on is druids, if it gets to frozen we have a strong sinsplit, and we're slightly infamous for playing build wars. We'll have to see though.
4) Euro - The only thing that might hold them back is the roster change, but other than that there isn't much stopping them.
5) Sup - Don't know much about them except they got rid of their monk who can only run healer's boon. Don't really keep up with Euros but they are supposedly good.
6) uF - Same as Sup
7) GoH - They always get top 16 but end up getting outgayed and outbuilt by us, if that doesn't happen again they should win first round.
8) Don't know, possibly vD, BdV, or ZFQ
Like I said earlier, if rawr comes up with the right build they will be very dangerous, same goes for BdV. But until I find evidence of this I'm not putting them in my top8.

Guilds i think have a shot:
Euro, dR, StS, Rawr, uF, sup
Everyone knows anything can happen in an mAT some random guild can just pull it out of the bag so in that respect i think vD has a shot, other than that i'd be surprised to see them top 8.
While i expect to see HGH get top 8 again i dont think they have a realistic shot of doing much better than 5 - 8 ish.
I have to believe in my own guild or it would be a sad state of affairs so i obviously think we have a shot.
uF/sup normally put in strong performances and i think they have the ability to go all the way.
StS - despite flamings long time absence i wouldnt discount these guys
dR - i honestly disagree that they have the right mix of players. I think that moving doji to warrior and having famous mesmer has only weakened them. They are good players still do well and high pressure flexible builds suit them, they will always have a shot. I can only hope to see less mistakes from them (unless of course they plays us ).
rawr - while i agree that rawr hasnt especially adapted greatly to the latest meta i dont think you can ever write them off with the experience at winning tournaments they have. While their build is unsettled, players like asp jatt and torsen have added alot to the team.
While i understand why you favour OG in the meta, with players like champ etc from the old KGYU meta pressure heavy days i dont think they have they ability or enough practice to go all the way. I havent seen them play much but seeing their match last night against rawr didnt give me more confidence in them. I expect top 16 and i would be more than happy for them to prove me wrong and do better.
Dont think other euro teams like GoH, Fish, BdV have the strength to finish the deal (and i would rate them in that order).
Best look like they have the most fun and may well get top 16 again with buildwars and such. If they do any better than top 16 it will be by totally outbuilding someone imo.

I agree with this. Losing Custo in this warrior-heavy meta is a big blow to our pressure, but it's not like the replacements are grabbed from some rank 3k guild. So the talent is mostly still there, and the players are getting more comfortable with each other (in a very dark alley-ish way).

Their frontline and midline will carry the team in this meta, as shown when they pushed rawr out of the base and when they effectively split against us. However, because of their lack of defense and unideal monks, they may crumble fairly quickly.

I've heard about the dark alley website which is why i never want to get "comfortable" with any of you guys
I was just saying that i would, if anything, feel better facing you as you are than as you were.

Rawr has bad players.
Rawr has had more succes than any other guild in the past.
Rawr has done all this with the same build.
Rawr has had their succes mostly because of this, and because of the failure of others to adapt.
Almost all of the mats rawr didnt win they failed miserably not reaching top16.
Therefore rawr is an all or nothing guild.
Currently their build got nerfed, they're still bad players, the only reason to pick them would be their history of wins.
Remember they also have a history of epic fails.
Therefore, i conclude rawr will fail this tournament in a somewhat epic way.

Rawr has a lot better players than they used to, Jatt, Asp, Torsen and Jaden instead of Dan, Scotty, Lego and Snuff.
Pretty big improvement I'd say ;o
