Being good at GvG gives you name/guild recognition.

Being good at HA gives you squat.

HA is more fun for a lot of people because its more of an arcade style pvp, and a lot faster paced. The downside is its a lot faster paced so crap people can capitalize on that and play bad farming builds and get fame.

I would agree and disagree at the same time. HA does give some guild recogntion. For example, I know the names of the more recent halls' winners. However, the fame is short lived and the teams disappear if they start to lose. As for the crap builds, I agree whole heartedly. While I know my view isn't popular, I prefer to run crazy builds in RA/TA/HA than those blasted R/Ds or touchers. The problem is most people rage at the crazy builds because they don't win immediately.

really the only reason that HA is kinda dead is because low/nonranked players CANT play it because nobody is willing to take them.. For example.. I've played GW for over 2 years now, and never really played PvP.. Untill lately, I felt like doing it, but I found out that nobody will take an unranked player in their group. Believe me, there are alot more people like me and if more people would give low/unranked players a chance, HA will definetly be more lively again.. Just my opinion on this.

As has been posted countless places elsewhere, it is not impossible to break into HA. Play to your strengths, advertise what you DO have, not what you don't. You WILL get people on the friends list, you WILL get into groups you're not "ranked for", you WILL get fame. You may not get any of them as fast as you may want, but it will happen.

Why would any1 highranked waste time taking some1 like you ?

I mean ffs, Every1 started at no rank, Just fukcing form with the unranked players and stop whining.

I am still unranked, and yet have gotten into 5 r6+ groups now. Where was I complaining about being unranked? I honestly don't care much for the rank system, but I have already broken into the oligarchy of GW, so I'm not whining about anything.

Either get friends that already HA or abuse the always available FOTM it's hard work to get to r3 without anyone having a clue in your group but it does happen, it's how alot of us got rank. International district used to be r6+ only and american/euro/therest districts were everything below in the old Tombs.

main thing is don't get blacklisted, don't claim you're good at a build some r9 group is asking you to play, better to not play, than say you can and fail at it badly.

I did spike most of it, and I AM infact proud of my title, because gues what:

There is a HUGE difference between being someone's spike bitch (Like you, Spartan) and brainlessly press a button on 1, or actually calling yourself.
On top of that, if you even look at my builds, you'll find they have more utility than most bars seen in top GvG. (Interrupts, snares, KD's, rends, ...)
