I lol'd
Don't get me wrong those are some good pvp players "fighting" there but yeah currently you see 2 teams fighting in halls or high ranked lego's.
It is kinda dead.

I dont see much wrong with legoway, its not a one dimensional gimmick. But since its such a popular build its not that hard to toll against. HA is about as stale as gvg was a few months ago if you look at the meta. All of the builds fall into the same two categories. Pressure or Spike. Ive seen very very few people able to put both in a build. The 'shutdown' build of the meta, hexway, is overpowered when you look at the removal options that teams can actually fit in a build. Other than that its all one big snore till you open the halls chest.

took 2 years really. The game just no longer casual. HA is pve. GvG is stalewars. A old boys club where only the the guys who have stuck around long enough around the right people get to find enjoyment in the "who has the fastest ping" contest going on. Really there is little incentive for the majority of players that play pvp arena's to move beyond RA/AB. There is more competition to be found in Etern Keys then UW and that is sad.

I almost fell of my chair laughing when you claimed fame to making the 6 N/Mo, 2 N/P bloodspike. That build was more of a "common sense" kind of thing. Guilds realized that Fall Back! could be used for GvG and that pre-nerfed Incoming was good for protecting against heavy damage. Nice try though.

Yeah, that's funny, ESPECIALLY because NO-One used it... If you say it was so obvious, then why did none of the 3 Bloodspike guilds in top 100 back then used it? ...
Perfect example: Grenths Aura... Did NOT get any buff in the build, yet now, everyone uses them...
I know for a fact Kyp MADE that template. Wait, you say it was just "bound" to happen? Yeah right, that's why noone came up with that untill half a year after GWEN...
People are lazy, they just are... 99% of GW are just /copy noobs that ruin both GvG and HA... Remember, originality and verastility are the 2 things that keep GvG/HA going...
If meta shifts every 2-3 weeks, you'll see an active HA again, simply because it's not just: MB/Rodgorts = win, or Mirgraine = win...
Kyp changed HA meta (And GvG) with his D/A, seeing how it's more popular then every other build I even made... And I thank him for that, because for once, I'm NOT running into a A/D spike, shitway or retarded poop-interrupts-on-targets-with-migraine-way... I'm actually running into a retarded D/A spike with splinter and Grenths Aura. However, it's fresh, so I don't give a damn it rolls over me, simply because it's not just something I've already faced 1.000.000 times...

No one made a template using that combo because it had no deep wound available until the recent buff of pious explosion

What? Pious Assault + GA = bye bye prots/guardians/any other crap. It was a passive buff, e.g. other skill got buffed and a synergy was found.

Noone could abuse grenths aura before because there was nothing like pious assault that could exploit it well. There are many skills with potential for abuse in the game, they are kept in check by a lack of enabling skills that will allow you to exploit their potential power. It is only a matter of time before someone, anybody, discovers a way to unlock these potentials, sometimes its just not possible until something new comes along and breaks the seal.
Izzy made a huge mess when he buffed pious assault, its even more ironic that he had the arrogance to challenge people to prove how stupid that change was... that display of ineptitude (pun intended) is quite frankly comical.
Thats why grenths aura wasnt abused until now... its enabler had only just been introduced.

First, I'll put it out there that I accumulated a large amount of my fame through bloodspike. I don't care what people think but through playing with Mordrid Knight's core group I managed to go from r5-10 in a summer on my main account.
Secondly, since I'm quite the guild hopper, I was on two of the top 100 Bloodspike guilds. Serious Pain In The [Azz] which are now disbanded and Souls of Glory [SoG], both of which managed to place top 60 in GvG. The third guild was Shiverpeak Shortbus and also The Stone Summit Stole My [bike] was a fourth. All of these guilds, within days of the Nightfall release realised the importance of FallBack! and its compatibility to be worked into a Necro Bipper bar. Having been on [SoG] when Nightfall came out, it took a day or two before he came up with two bippers with fallback.
Please don't claim fame to things you didn't create.

While that may be funny, anyone incorporating met shower into any PvP bar in combination with frozen soil is a scrub.

My thoughts exactly, way to some it up Zenryu. Its really a shame, I hardly play HA anymore because of that exact reason, I am only rank three (dont plan on shooting for much higher) and have a difficult time finding people who just want to play for fun. I am more then skilled just don't feel like wasting a month of my GW time one acquiring a ridiculous rank for something that I only play 1-2 a week.
On the lighter side I have gotten into a few lower rank teams and we have whooped on higher ranks. I do not think skill really equates to rank much after 3 you. After that much time you know the builds, you can spot the n00bs, ext.

While I agree with you saying that unranked people outnumber ranked, I have to disagree with the fact that you think after achieving rank 3 you know the builds and can spot the noobs. Many rank 3 players have achieved their ranks in double fame weekends...the difference between them and an r9 player? Simple, very rarely, unless experienced already or having higher ranked friends, do unranked players go from 0-9 in a double fame weekend. The cut-off for my groups is r6 and I'm r9. I do not think I'm high and mighty, in fact I think I'm still pretty shitty at some builds. Rank 6 atleast shows to me that they have put some time into HA, whether it be button smashing with the flavor of the month or balanced builds with previous guilds. It also shows me they have some interest in improving their skills as a PvP player. Just my two cents.

I was talking about a long time ago. They had frozen, I had ms because of VoD wars. They were amazingly bad players back then, and the fact that they haven't changed now saddens me even more.

lol yeah meteor shower is so noob, just run dolyak signet like i do on my warrior and you can still hit people even if they use meteor shower on you! And you get a big boost to your armour that you take like no damage!
oh and frozen soil, it never gives me any trouble because light of dwayna still works!
