Today's mesmer meta
why is it ive seen people dropping p-leak for CoF, i understand pleaks recharge is 20 seconds now and that may slow your interupting rate, but Memers arent meant to be spamming interupts left and right either, they should be saving them for key skills....is there something im missing here
also ive seen several people running [skill]price of pride[/skill] and after todays update [skill]chaos storm[/skill] in place of shame, personally i dont like either of these choices, especially chaos storm....if price of pride could be squeezed into the build elsewhere i could understand its usefullness but i dont think its good enough to warrant dropping shame for
thoughts?

People run CoF because it costs 10 energy, it's an AoE interrupt, and has a 12second recharge. And it interrupts non-spell skills.
Basically for the same energy and less recharge some prefer the AoE interrupt over the EDenial interrupt, but I think the mesmer only runs CoF if the team doesnt have a P/Me

why would anybody run Chaos Storm? even after the energy buff it's still a useless skill... pretty much like Maelstorm PvP wise.

that was exactly my thought i could ALMOST see how on altar maps in HA it could be usefull
as for guilds, i dont have exact names but i saw chaos storm once, and price of pride two or three times, plus once or twice playing with my guild

thinking about this a bit more, I guess Chaos Storm and Maelstorm could be used combined with Icy Shackles. 90% snare pretty much forced the monk or other caster to stay inside the Chaos Storm/Maelstorm causing serious damage. at least until the Icy Shackles are removed

yes but if icy shackes is the only hex high end monks would know whats comming when icy hit and have it removed immediately, it may work once at the beginning of the match, but after that monks are going to start pre-veiling and such
overall, if i were to take an extra e-denial skill on an e-surge bar, it'd be energy burn or price of pride, energy burns nice for a bit more dmg and alot more denial, price of pride is nice because of the duration/recharge ratio, plus it'd be a nice spam hex to pop an eles hex breaker with if need be

CoF is amazing.
Pride of Pride and Chaos Storm are bad.
PLeak is just okay now.
Those are the reasons, basically.

Power leak is absolutely amazing. Cry of frustration is good and fun.
To be honest i'd take the absolutely amazing skill, and then put the fun skill on the paragon if possible.
Chaos storm is shit.

Why has no one ran dual dom yet? That shit is awesome at -11 energy. Couple that with PLeak and you can take a dump on any caster. Fk Diversion, Fk shame. Everyone brings HBreaker anyway.

But if the entire team were to bring Chaos Storm.......
LOL
That skill is sooo bad
The Icey Shckels scenario is the best bet for making it work, at least if the Monk removes the Icey himself that is.
I'm sure it also works on stupid people too though.
CoF is nice, IF ,again, they are stupid people are group up enough. Kinda like why MageHunters > Earthshaker.
P Leak, though nerfed, still is the best of the bunch there.

We played a couple games with it.
I don't think I should give away any super sekretz infoz that we got running it, even though I will say that we destroyed everyone we faced with it.

I definately expect dual dom to demolish most teams. It's been so long since there was an active edenial meta that people are going to suck at playing against it.

They are so good they smashed us out of both vent and the game
I will have to say that is the most entertaining match I've played in a while, simply because that was like a match where everything that had ever gone wrong with us (read: "excuses") occurred all in one game: having to switch vents midgame (leading to doji going afk for a minute because it takes him forever to tab out), shane not being able to hear us, both tommy and langola lagging out twice, and my mic being screwed up. The only thing we're missing is windforce playing cripshot with an unmodded longbow.
I'll take a loss for all that hilarity.

[skill]Price of Pride[/skill] was sometimes seen on triple-hex teams of the e-denial variety. It's balanced as a long-duration hex and therefore fails without a ton of covers around.
I think Izzy wanted Chaos Storm to be another anti-ward tool or something, but it has a long way to go there.
