They took the Gladiator's Isle out? Man, I was really hoping to see how it was different. What was the gladiator's arena like before they took it out?
I would like to know. I'm trying to live up to my "seeker of wisdom" title.

Well that's a relief. Either Kaospryx was wrong, they fixed it, or for some reason it counts some low-level arenas and not others.
Also, 42 wins with no monk = wow. What was that rit's build?

Lol nice. Once you hit about 30 wins in a row your brain starts to melt.
I'm a firm believer that there should be a grand prize for 1,000 consecutive wins. Like a billion dollars.

I recently picked up the gladiator title and am way on my way to the next, about 10 points of it came from team arenas with the guild and 15 from random arenas....
When I do play random arenas it's normally to practice my boon protting, and even a half decent monk can take a bad team through random arena. Although the bad team you're in who is winning tends to think "wow, we rock!"
Playing with the guild is Team Arenas is a vastly faster process though..

Heh, rage quitting as a practice doesn't make getting a Gladiator title any easier, that's for damn sure.
How many or what do you need for Champion? Getting from RA to TA (10+ wins) isn't that hard...I used to get there almost nightly when I was playing the randoms a lot....

Champion is 50 "High level GvG Wins". Ironically, ANet counts "High Level" as rank 1500 and lower.
Should be easy for any half-decent guild to get.

Unfortunately thats not true, its not rank 1500 and lower but rating 1500 and higher. That makes that title the hardest one to get atm.

That's correct. No guild is close to that at all, and most of the top guilds (example: Te, iQ) have less than 10 points towards that title. 50 wins against what amounts to the top 15 at the end of the season is probably as challenging as it gets, even for guilds like WM. Fully 1/6th of their wins would need to be against that competition to have 30 points.

Great!
How many win streaks do you need for the maximum rank? (and what is the maximum rank?) I'd like to snag at least level 1 because I like a bit of RA from time to time

From what I've seen so far it's the same thing as the Hero title. Just with "Gladiator" in place of "Hero" and you don't get an emote. With that said I assume it goes far past the 12th level, it'll just take you a very long time to get there.

Damn Van you beat me to it I was about to mention that our guild has around 5 or 6 gladiators, and I believe 3 Fierce Gladiators now (and then there's you of course *cry*.)
I'm not going to grind to Mighty, 100 points is a bit much for me, I'll get there when I get there, and 'til then I'll wear my title proud
I really don't like how you can get points for RA, because people can just farm the points by getting 10 in RA and repeat (which is really easy if you spawn with a fairly balanced group, if not you can just ragequit, as most do.) It takes some skill to get points starting in TA, especially now that good players want titles. It's nice that there's a bit of competition in the Arenas now, as opposed to before Factions when our groups could routinely go 50+ without any decent opponents.

ya that's right. So far it goes as follows 25 for glad, 50 for fierce, 100 for mighty, and 168 for Deadly...don't ask me why it's not a round number. No clue how many for level 5 yet, but I will in a couple weeks.

Also disturbing is being able to twink out your characters for low-level arenas and get points that way.

Yes, this is confirmed.

I played rit on that team. bar was something like:
Union, Shelter, Wonoderlust, shadow song, Displacement, Flesh Of My flesh (which i used twice maybe), Gaze and Doom.
Worked just like a passive prot would. As long as u have enough DPS the other team cant go around killing spirits....the warriors would try, their monks would die, and then they would follow...i just kept spamming away....Hence the name... (SPAM) "In a Can"
Hell of a run with no monkie

I have seen a few people with Gladiator titles the last week. So its not ultra rare or ultra hard like you are claiming. I have that as my goal as well, but its not as trivial from RA as the people above are making it seem.
There are a lot more morons in RA who end up as your teammates, examples like the usual Leeroy Jenkins, fools who dont have lvl 20 characters, fools who ragequit after one death, idiots who dont bring resurrection signet, idiots who ignore the enemy monk, etc, etc. Boy I wish there was some kind of penalty for ragequitters!!
