The Gladiator Title
Who here has SEEN the gladiator title let alone is one?
I myself am striving for it.
It is one of the hardest PVP titles to accomplish besides the Champion one which only EVIL or WM players will ever see.
I myself am tired with the rank as too many people have it.
Gladiator? I myself have N E V E R seen a "Gladiator"
I also know there is a Gladiator Isle in the manual book for factions.
Just a hunch but Gladiator = Chapter 3 new PVP mode?
If I were you guys... I'd buckle up and start gridnig out the RA/TA victories.
I myself run boon prot down there because it is 10% chance you will ever even see a monk on your team.
The title itself is one point = 10 RA/TA victoreis consecutive. yuo need 25 points
I just hate doing TA because peoplel ike to stack up on monks and waste my time.. RA on the other hand I will rage quit immediately if i see more than one monk other than me or a warrior monk with mending. Or non lvl 20s..
Just today I was on the verge of getting my 5th point as I had started this week and the ritualist on our team was garbage.. He died so many times and on the TENTH match, we lost. We wasted all our rezes on him too..
But, I will strive and become one of the few gladiators and have access to the newst chapter 3 pvp mode!
PS look in your manual for gladiator isle.

I highly doubt that access to a new chapter's PvP area would be based on something as trivial as RA/TA victories. Even if the title and the name of the place happen to be the same.

Only 12 points along that track myself
Team arenas are not only challenging due to fighting so many prepared teams, but also because if you happen to lose a single member, you're probably screwed, since people can't enter the team arenas alone anymore.
Random arena is mostly luck in getting a decent team together to stomp the rest of the teams. Of course, skill and skill choice play a role, but the random team assignments are a huge deal.
I'm not surprised to see few people flaunting the title, but I'd imagine quite a few top tier guilds (their members, to be specific) that run the team arenas for fun/practice are already up there.

I was grinding for that title.. got up to 7 points pretty quick before finally got factions (ended that grind lol) took couple days and just ra/ta- it's pvp depends on how good you are.. been in ra teams after the titles with no monk and we won 10 strait- sometimes you get a bad player in there and ra has alot of leavers.. but you get a decent group and you can go 20-30 wins into ta.. least until you run into the super bucktooth group who's called in to stop your roll lol thing noticed about korean teams is they are all defense in ta- easy to roll over pretty much.. but then have to deal with the runner sometimes too (that's always fun in ra).. so not everyone in there is bad and the title is definitely reachable- if your good you can squeeze out a 10 run pretty often

It isn't necessarily a difficult title to get, it just takes time. I would probably already have the title if they retroactively applied it. The increased competition level in arenas is nice too.

The area listed as Gladiator Arena has been confirmed as nolonger existing. It was there in an early alpha and then they took it out. Due to how publishing works, you need quite a bit of leadtime so some screenshots are inaccurate.

Yes, but the op also mentioned the gladiator isle in his post. This isle was indeed in early alpha, but was later taken out. I havent started on this title yet, but since i am now guildless until further notice, i suppose i should do something that doest require a guild, like RA...since GvG is out of the question atm.

You know, I've actually seen quite a few Gladiator titles. If you twink your Canthan chars, and 10 wins is easy in Shing Jea Arena. While not condoning doing this, this is a pretty fast way to get that title.

The Gladiator Title isn't hard to get in RA, it just takes a very large time investment. If you are good player and get onto a balanced RA team (ie: two monks or a monk and a ritualist) with other good players, getting 10 wins in a row can be a breeze.
Of course, getting that 25 times takes many tries and lots of time.
Even so, there is nothing "hard" in the way to stop it from being done.

I don't believe in Ragequitting. In fact, I got the second point on my Gladiator title (Faction farming, not for title) with a Whammo and another monk. Two monks aren't needed, but damn if it doesn't help. Whats funny is, the W/Mo was using Watchful Spirit and Mending and also didn't require the most healing. (A/Mo. )
Actaully, it was me..The first time I get picked out of 2 monks to be constantly targeted.

I think a 2 monk backline in 4 person groups is overkill. One monk is usually enough, if he knows what he's doing. Plus, I would say the only time mending is legit on a W/Mo is if he's a rage mender. (ie, mending+watchful+battle rage and all adren skills)

I have 15 points and I have never rage quit. You sure are a team player...but I guess gladiator implys you did it alone anyways.
And yes, I have seen a few people with the gladiator title. They are in the TA you seem to avoid.

No matter how long a single winning streak is, it only counts for 1 point of the 25, right?

You get 1 point toward the gladiator title for every 10 consecutive wins.

I saw something in the Team Arena forum that quite disturbed me. Someone said that you could get points toward Gladiator doing Zaishen Elite. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it saddens me that a somewhat difficult to obtain PvP title is sullied by being able to just farm it, PvE style. Also disturbing is being able to twink out your characters for low-level arenas and get points that way.

Dunno about the Zaishen Elite thing, but I got about 4 or 5 10+ consecutive win streaks on my level 13 monk in the shiverpeak arena a couple days ago, and didn't gain any progress towards gladiator.

Like others have said, if this title was applied retroactively I know I'd have it and then some.
I don't think I'm going to ever get it now though, if I'm going to grind for a title, it's going to be in Tombs and not TA.
