Question, Conjure Frost vs Conjure Lightning
I just have a quick question,
Why do people use Conjure Frost instead of Lightning + Shock ?
Edit: Sorry, speaking in a Warriors bar ofcourse.

Shields against cold damage are not as usually used as lightning dmg.

Ah okay I understand, because of Elementalist and Ritualist spike skills I guess... still, is it worth trading that for a higher shock ?
Im speaking for a shock axe bar

Do me a favor and try running frenzy, shock, bulls, conjure lightning and tell me how fast you run out of energy, that's why.

Skill slots.
Generally speaking you only have the slots free for either shock OR a conjure.
[Eviscerate][Body Blow][Disrupting Chop][Bull's Strike][Shock][Frenzy][Rush][Resurrection Signet]
[Empty][Executioners Strike][Distracting Strike][Empty][Conjure Frost][Empty][Empty][Empty]
Conjure Frost is cool because Polly uses it, and Polly sounds like Pally, and Pally was an awesome warrior too.

With the recharge on conjures I really don't think they make a big dent in your energy.

It actually does make a difference because you can't stay in your zealous set to help maintain your energy. I would never run both Shock and Conjure on the same bar ever.

It's doable to run shock + conjure on sword, on axe you're not gonna have any energy.
Even running dstrike on a conjure axe war will be pretty tough on energy unless you're a pussy that never frenzies.

I usually use a +5 energy spear /20% enchanting when using Conjure Lightning, as long as I'm not spamming shock it isn't too bad, but I guess if you have a long battle it could become a problem .
But thanks, I guess i understand now.

Use an Adept Air Staff of Enchanting with a strength and honor inscription instead.
You can do some serious wanding damage with that as well.

All that happens is as time goes on, you shock less and less, to the point where bringing it was a wasted skill slot.

I think Frost was chosen because it means the people you're beating up can't resist Spear of Lightning/B-Surge shit with the same shield set.

Shock + Conjure is hard on the energy, and IMO you dont need both

Shock is too much energy/exhaustion AND frost has a cooler animation.

The smart players have multiple shields in their backpack they adjust depending on what they are facing, cold and earth shields are not as common as lighting and fire so, a warrior can average a bit more damage across the team with frost, in the scheme of things it's not very much
It can also depend on your team build. eg. it's quite common if there are fire Ele's casting Mark of Rodgorts for the warriors to run fire weapons to keep up the burning. Another couple of more unlikely scenarios are Spinal shivers needing cold or Thunderclap needs lightning, though you will see those more in PvE or RA.

If you run both you lose your interrupt slot, and no interrupt means you fail.
