Hi guys new to this forum.

Most people refer to sway comming from SHITway. I don't need to explain why...

People give it all kinds of names.
Most call it "Shitway" or "Spiritway"
I've also been told that it stands for "EScapeway"
Pick one

1. Take popular skill: Escape.
2. Take common suffix to describe group builds: -way.
3. Shorten popular skill to one primary syllable: Es-
4. Combine: Esway.
5. Shorten/make appealing: Sway.

U seem to know ALOT about names. U also seem to know that "sway" was around (Under THAT name) before escape rangers.
The original sway was 3 Thumpers, 2 Trappers, a Weapon Rit and 2 N/Rt's...
It actually does come from "Spirit-way", due to the fact that EVERY person in the build had 1-2 or more spirits on there bar. (Thumpers had Fertile, EoE and Energizing)
I myself, and alot of other people, simply like shitway more, because it makes these bad players feel bad about themselves, knowing that they can run "shit"-build, and that's about it...

That really isn't very necessary or clever.
Would it be correct to call utility of any part of this build Sway? I see plenty of people complaining over Sway in AB, but they seem to be exclusively referring to scythe-wielding rangers.

It was sarcasm. The guy was acting as if he knew alot of HA, and as if he was here to "lighten us all up" on the situation. Too bad he was wrong, thus the second part: "U ALSO SEEM TO KNOW ..." Sarcasm Meter --------->
I don't really care what people call them. In HB, we call an assassins with 2 rits and a n/rt also sway. It has the same background as the HA build, 3 character (sin doesn't have spirits ) pooping out overpowered spirirts (Due to the small size of the format defensive spirits have a much stronger effect).
So it is also comming from spirit-way (still talking about HB now), but I simply like to call it SHITway again. Because it pretty much is PvP-auto-pilot. (Just like sway in HA)
As for AB, really who cares? Throw 24 PvE'rs together in a mix, make sure U have a wammo with healing breeze and some MM's, and U got AB...
The question pretty much anwsers itself: "Is it corect to call people who use utility (=bars for the unknowking people) from sway, swayers?"
Yes (and No... )
Yes: They are still running a SHITbuild, they just scaled it down from 8v8 -> 1v1, and at the end of the day, an sway scythe still requires near-no skill to run.
No: They technacly are individual bars thrown together. Sway (The original one) is actually 3 THUMPERS, 2 TRAPPERS, 1 SPLINTER SPAMMER and 2 N/Rt's. (They don't have any names )
For the R/D tough, there was never any "name", simply because it was invented IN the existing build, thus there was no need to name them. (Cuz you would never spam for in individual R/D in a build other than sway, so simply saying sway ranger would imply enough)
But hey, if U wanna name it, I'll help you get started:
-Shitranger
-Scythe-Ranger
-Reaping Ranger (Sounds cool eh?)
-Block-pooper
-...
