Alliance Battle - Team builds and related discution
After proposing you to team up with guru members, I now propose you to post team builds that you'll play with those team. You may aswell take those builds and run them with guild members!
Remember a few rules:- This is a team build discution, not an AB flame thread.
- Keep the faction war away.
- Post attributes with the build
- Don't post griefing builds ( saccing, running, tanking )
- We are here to discuss team builds and how to improve them, to improve our game experience
I am well aware that AB team builds are not common, but that doesn't mean nobody should form constructed teams.
You might want to have a look at this thread to learn how to use gwBBCode.
I recommend you to sign up in the AB sign up thread so that people can get your IGN and your faction if they want to play with you. This is particulary useful with the pickup option (just click on the profession icons to say "I can play that" = gg).
I'll start with a well known, yet super effective team build. gwBBCode Pickup option active (tho the forum doesn't support it ATM).
[build prof=W/E name="Conjure Shock Axe" AxeMastery=12+1+1 Strength=8+1 Air=10 pickup="Shock War 1" desc="Weapons:{br}#1: Shocking Axe of Fortitude (15^50 or 15 while enchanted){br}#2: Insightful Air staff of enchanting (+5^50)"][Eviscerate][Body Blow][Agonizing Chop][Bull's Strike][Shock][Frenzy][Rush][Conjure Lightning][/build]
[build prof=W/E name="Conjure Shock Axe" AxeMastery=12+1+1 Strength=8+1 Air=10 pickup="Shock War 2" desc="Weapons:{br}#1: Shocking Axe of Fortitude (15^50 or 15 while enchanted){br}#2: Insightful Air staff of enchanting (+5^50)"][Eviscerate][Body Blow][Agonizing Chop][Bull's Strike][Shock][Frenzy][Rush][Conjure Lightning][/build]
[build prof=Rt/Mo name="Channeled Smiter" Channeling=12+1+1 Smiting=12 pickup="Smiter" desc="Weapon:{br}#1: 20% HSR Channeling focus and wand{br}#2: 40% HCT Smiting Staff"][Offering of spirit][Ancestors' rage][Splinter Weapon][Smite Hex][Smite Condition][Strength of Honor][Castigation Signet][Bloodsong][/build]
[build prof=Mo/A name="Shadow Protter" Prot=12+1+1 divine=11+1 shadow=6 pickup="Monk" desc="Weapons:{br}#1: 40% HCT 20% enchantments Protection staff{br}#2: +5e +30hp Axe with +30hp +10AL vs X shield"][Zealous Benediction][RoF][guardian][draw conditions][mending touch][Spirit Bond][holy veil][dark escape][/build]
The smiter might be a bit slow moving between shrines...
Variant:
[build prof=Rt/A name="Support Ritualist" Channeling=12+1+1 Restoration=12 spawning:=3 pickup="Support" desc="Weapon:{br}#1: 20% HSR Channeling focus and wand{br}#2: 40% HCT +30hp Restoration Staff"][Offering of spirit][Ancestors' rage][Splinter Weapon][Dash][Mend body and soul][Spirit light][Weapon of Warding][Life][/build]
Post yours!

since you're talking about AB you really should replace res sig with something else. enfeebling touch come to mind for mass weakness or zojun's haste for near 100% duration of speed buff.

I think I would use [barbed [email protected]], to catch people with low health running away, or just as a ranged heal.

What? AB now has team builds from my experience in the allainces i played there is no need for a team build except the touch team mainly the res shrine could be far from your team so if a key feature dies it will take awhile to regroup.

AHAHA OH WOW
What I usuallly run whenever I can be bothered to AB:
[Shock Warr;OQYTgmIL5QqQlqM9ca9nCAA]
[WS Spiker;OgajgYpM7SAYNXMXjhnDibHY2XA]
[Supportive RIt Smiter;OAOj4wiM5MHXvJG7a7So+Lk5BA]
[Monkieeee;OwcT8YY+z5SPT0iCkNdNpBKwAA]
Quite similar to OP's build.
EDIT: I can't remember what we used to put instead of ress sigs on the war >___>

you'll want distracting strike on the shock war, since disarm is a sword attack.

Basic setup for AB. Some skills may change, depending on the player. Works very well with organized groups (guildies/allies/friends/preferably voice comm).

I would lower DF to get healing to 12+1+1.
I'd also get rid of mystic regeneration, as it is a team build, and replace it by something like immolate, or if you want support for your monk, go /rt and invest the points you have in earth prayers in restoration and take weapon of warding.

Running 14 Healing Prayers just isn't needed imho. Not in AB anyway. WoH is a very large heal at 12 Healing Prayers and a target below 50% (105 + 83 + DF bonus). Personnally I am very happy with a 12 Healing Prayers WoH. I like to have the larger Divine Favor bonus.
Also, Monk templates should never ever be set in stone and always be player preference. This is just what I like to run when I Monk.
Again I personnally like to have a self heal on characters, hence the Mystic Regeneration. Having a character with some kind of healing is always nice, takes away some pressure. Blind, Gale, cripple and Mending Touch are a lot of support for a Monk.

I actually just recently re-made an old AB team build I designed.
[AB dervish;OgGjkqqK7S/XBFWgSihXibabgXA]
[AB necro;OABCUsxUNjCoeAawXQVVz3VA]
[AB mesmer;OQhCAcwkQF4njjGg0EZ480xE]
[AB monk;OwAS4YIPUfXCe1tuQs+VfCC]
30% armor penetration scythe attacks on someone with cracked armor... fun times.
dervish has 12/12/12 attribs after runes
necro has 16/15 attribs after runes
mes has 16/15 attribs after runes
monk has 16/15 attribs after runes
(necro, mes, and monk have two superior runes because vital weapon still gives a net +34 health)
USAGE:
dervish and monk maintain their 60 second enchantments on everyone in the party (using +20% enchanting weapons of course)
Mesmer holds ashes on far before, and directly after battle. Maintains vital weapon on all but dervish; puts sundering on dervish before attacking.
necro uses icy veins, putrid bile, and if time permits, malign intervention on the dervish's target. (generally the monk) uses putrid explosion after death, and verata's gaze on any and all minions. (also maintains withering aura on the dervish)
that's... it? use other skills not like an idiot?

I think they would be using cruel was daoshen + Ancestor's rage and possibly spirit rift for spike damage.
EDIT : Not like it would matter anyway (Bwahahaha) as my build has ~700hp on each character, and 255hp intervention once they reach less than 25% health, so you'd need to deal roughly 1,000 spike damage to kill me.
EDIT EDIT: >.> Or disenchant, then spike for ~700 damage.

Nice build.
I would switch PS for [spirit bond].
On the ranger bar I'd rather use [debilitating shot].
It's hilarious when you hit Monks or low energy classes.
Course you could use a sin...

This build is pretty good tbh. No it doesn't have alot of defense, but you really don't need it when things drop as fast as they do...and tbh I'd rather things drop quick so I can move on to the next group/shrine a bit quicker.

[Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Crippling Shot][Apply Poison][Sloth Hunter's Shot][Natural Stride][Mending Touch][Troll Unguent]

Ran this yesterday with a well organized PuG. The build worked nicely. One of the best PuG experiences ever.

Nice PUG. A few suggestions
[rend enchantment] over Gaze.
[debilitating shot] over Troll (If your monk can handle it)
[Shock] incorporation if possible.
[dash] instead of Dark escape. Dark Escape is not really that useful in AB

Step one: Spam local chat for bad players
Step two: invite all bad players
Step three: ask them 'are you bad?'
Step 4: kick the ones who say no
Step 5: ???
Step 6: PROFIT
On a more serious note:
[build prof=a/w][frenzy][dash][locust's fury][leaping mantis sting][jungle strike][twisting fangs][return][disrupting dagger][/build]
[build prof=mo/a][air of enchantment][reversal of fortune][reversal of damage][prot spirit][zealot's fire][blank][dash][mending touch][/build]
[build prof=me/mo][signet of judgment][bane signet][inspired enchantment][signet of humility][mantra of inscriptions][strength of honor][judge's insight][signet of rage][/build]
+ monk
This does silly damage.

I remember running that with a W/D when scythe was hitting every foe around, it was SICK. We used to run judge's on the ZF/AoE monk tho, no SoH.
I guess for a sin it might be better to have 2 smiters but it feels like a waste to me... The fact that you only have one attacker also, and some utility on the mesmer but that's it. I know it's AB, but it seems to miss killing power to me.
