His skill bar is epic.. let me go try that in HA now
Really, based on what he said..
running around ganking ppl who are lower level than you = PvP
balanced arena's where skill (well.. less nowadays but w/e) is required = PvE
He couldn't possibly fail more than that... well... maybe

That video is total fail on comparing WoW and GW pvp. If you really want to compare 2 so much different games, you would have to take few things in to account:
1. WoW PvP is mainly based on gear of opponent(s) and you. You just got to 70 lvl? You won't stand a change against a team in full season 3 (soon to be season 4), because of the cap between gear is so high.
2. Balance in GW is mainly based on skill balance and the fact that you can't use every skill your profession (class) haves. Gear plays little role on GW. Sure survivor insignias help and superior vigor is nice to have, but that's just 1 lightning orb you can take more without dying. While in WoW the difference of the "worts" gear and "best" gear can mean that someone just killed you in 3 secs because they outgear you so badly.
3. The new tournament realm that blizzard have opened (i believe it's second tournament) is only place in WoW where class balance is the only thing that matters (along with player skill), as everyone have equal gear in there. Charracters there are equal to PvP-Only charracters in GW.
4. Only same thing the games have is that neither of them is balanced around 1v1 / duels.
Now that you take all that into account, i would say that you don't want to compare these games, or i think i just did compare them lol.
My personal opinion? with ~7-8 month GW experience and 3+ year WoW experience, i must say that GW is more balanced in a way where the skill of players have bigger role in the result of the battle (tournament realm being the only expection when it comes to WoW).
Both are good games in my opinion. And have their overpowered things to ruin the balance. The game style is also so different, that i wont start to list them as there are so many things. But if i would have to say just 1 thing, i would say engine. As in WoW you can jump and use the battlefield more, while in GW you can't (expect with shadowsteps but that's not the same thing).
Ps. sorry for my not-so-fluent english and typos.

To be fair, grinding the arena gear isn't overly difficult, the prices between seasons keep dropping, and the PvP gear tends to be a lot better than the PvE gear for PvP due to the massively higher stamina and resilience.
The problem isn't so much the gear dependence, the problem is that WoW was designed with PvP as an afterthought so the balance has been terrible, especially the interplay between powerheal spamming and Mortal Strike. (Specifically, the first is overpowered, which forces you to bring the second also-overpowered skill to deal with it).

Yeah well, that might be true for a caster, but have you ever tryed hit that full S3 priest/druid/pala on your warrior/rogue with S1 gear? Equals to tickling them with feather... "need more rage"
The difference between S1 and S3 in armor alone is insane for a melee class, as S3 armor is balanced around all the armor peneration you can get with enchants, rings and with the set. For example a Mage, the armor from S1 to S3 increases by over double. Priest: little over double as well.
Ps. Yes it actually is if you reroll or have got to 70 not so long time a go. First you need to farm like 400k honor to get all the honor gear to even stand a change in arenas. And by now (so far in S3) every noob team have 3/5 or 4/5 vengeful even at 1600 rating so have a fun climbing up the ladder to get any decent ammount of points per week.

I think the only time WoW's PvP really shined was before the honor changes with the Tarren Mill and Crossroads zergfests. At least then you could set aside the shitty balance and broken mechanics and just go nuts.

It's still just a matter of time though. Obviously you'll need to lose a shitload at first to grind arena points, but I wouldn't say it's one of the harder goals to reach.

I gotta be honest.
I like both games in some ways.
WoW's PvP has good made Arena Teams, I like this aspect of getting a rating and earn armor sets by this way.
But ye, the video is very kiddy made.
Both are great games in different ways, stop comparing them.

Both games have terrible PvP.
The guild wars metagame is consistently dedicated to stupidly imbalanced gimmicks because the devs are too inept to balance skills which actually need balancing instead of buffing skills which are completely useless.
WoW arenas, there isn't even a point to balancing the characters because arena matchmaking exploits pair up new teams with 1500 ratings wearing battleground gear with 2200 teams wearing all S3 gear and melting them. The rich stay rich, the poor stay poor.
There is no solace for PvP in MMORPGs. At least I have TF2

lol "if u just run up on Allies, they tend to shit their pants"
reminds me of "lol suxons are scared, timers reseting"
edit: oh and gw owns in pvp. gvg is a brilliant format, dont judge gw pvp on ab or ra or crap like that.
edit2: lol, "there is no pvp in gw". this guy thinks pvp is walking around ganking people from the other side. pvp w/o organized teams isnt serious pvp. plus, the guy walks around with some half assed fire ele and stands in TA trash talking gw. lol
