What's amusing is that HB is probably going to be even more biassed towards R/P now with the Antidote Signet and Barbed Spear buffs.

The problem is the rest of the bar is so critical, not much point in bothering. The only thing I'm considering is moving Death Pact Signet off of a warrior.

So "For Great Justice" gets nerfed because getting adrenalin too fast means a warrior could get his attack skills charged with only 1-2 hits, using a few specific skills (those that give +x adr). I guess that is undesirable because a warrior is supposed to slowly work up adrenalin before being able to unleash. Fine.
But at the same time a derv can spam a covered DW with Wounding Strike on demand, with a 3sec recharge, and that is not problematic?
Anyway, perhaps the Signet/Dervish meta will die with the adjustment to Mantra of Inscriptions. Not sure at this point. It seems to me that the other nerfs, such as the feeble recharge increase on Strength of Honor, are not very convincing, and that the synergy remains pretty strong.

Signet mesmers might suffer from their own popularity more than anything, considering there are more than a couple skills capable of punching a pure signet bar in the face that are dubious without the existence of such a thing.

Yeah, its in a highly more accessible attribute line due to the staple hexes in that attribute line.

Disappointing skill update, was really hoping for a 2 adren cripslash, and 3 adren gash, ohwell, maybe some other time.

Gogo [Symbolic Strike] and [Can't Touch This]!
Izzy's random skill buffer has been hard at work over the past few weeks.
As usual, the few serious buffs/nerfs are trying to beat around the bush instead of doing what needs to be done and deleteing nightfall entirely.

Because playing against a bsurge and sig mesmer at the same time should make the game fun right?

[build prof=R/Me expertise=11+1+2 marks=9+1 wild=9=1 dom=6][crippling shot][blackout][savage shot][distracting shot][antidote signet][troll unguent][apply poison][natural stride][/build]
if you can spare a rez sig, this build should provide some nice shutdown ability.

I can understand the buff to Antidote Signet, even though it's going to end up ruining HB even more (if that's at all possible). What I don't understand is the buff to Barbed Spear, since the only PvP format where it actually matters how long the bleeding lasts is HB. If I didn't know better, I'd almost think this is Izzy's way of sending a message to the few remaining HB players that actually cared about improving the format.
I don't think the rest of the update is all that bad (except for Symbolic Strike, simply increasing the damage numbers on gimmick skills isn't a good idea), but as usual they're just too slow at balancing the problematic skills. PvE is no longer a factor so they can't use that excuse anymore.

Look me in the eyes and listen carefully:
You are becoming tired...
your eyelids are becoming very heavy now...
all you want to do is sleep...
when I snap my fingers you will wake up and GOREDENGINE nerf shadowsteps out of the game.
Gotta give it a shot, else acupuncture might work :P
I miss escape on the OP's list anyways, they must have missed it.

I'm thinking R/P versus Soul Bind.
Tried pissing around with it some in HB, it actually murdered that build quite handsomely.

The skill update proved to be so successful that these guys had the common sense to compensate for the nerf to mantra. Now we can hum your entire backline and that pesky midliner if we choose too.

A viable B-Surge would probably give the "standard 2 W, R, Me, E build" more survivability vs. Conjure/SoH buffed dervs, because the humility would be spread between the B-Surge and the RC. Unless they have 2 Mesmers.

lets just all take 3 mesmers and go /Me on the rest so we can disable the entire enemy teams elites.
this will be really interesting and provide a new dynamic to GvG.

That build is imo still the most pleasant to run
