Need help learning!
Hi guys,
I have never played Heroes' Ascent before.... Please continue reading.... And i have this enormously gigantic problem that no one ever wants to help me learn it. Whenever i say i have never played Heroes' Ascent before, i'm OUT OF THE PARTY. Well great, experience can only be gained if i have a chance to play huh.
I have tons of experience with Random Arena's (i got over 100 gladiator points with it) but I want to take the step higher, more challenging teams etc... So anyone who wants to help me out, give me a sign! I'm from Europe btw, so pay attention to the timezone.
Btw, i don't care if you totally horribly suck or whatever, i just want to have fun!

first of all "I have tons of experience with Random Arena's (i got over 100 gladiator points with it)" really shows your inexperience in PvP not just HA. 100 glad points is nothing, just rank 1 gladiator... and experience in RA really doesnt say much as its too random and full of n00bs.
as for HA, the main problem is that HA is a dying arena. the only people in there now are either fame farmers who cant use anything other than sway or HA guilds that enjoy WTFPWNing those nAAb Sways.

Well it is quite alot of experience don't you think o.0 you only get 1 point from RA after 5 wins. and 2 points at 10 wins, and usually you wont get further since Team Arena's are just too dam hard.
I own this game since a few months. So i think i'm doing quite well ^^
Oh right, so you are discouraging me to do Heroes' Ascent. Ah I'll try to look for PvP guilds then

First off, don't listen to these "HA dying don't go etc". This is kinda pointless. Also go to http://www.pvxwiki.com/ take a look of the HA build and pick one you can play and have all the skills, look how to use it and etc. Go to HA and just wait for someone to start off a "randomway" which you use the build you like". You will probably loose, but that will give you a nice idea on how it is going in HA.
Don't say you never did any HA, people will kick you, act like you know how to do it. Also when you will understand the basic of HA, on pvxwiki, look at the team build like sway (huhu) and pick one of the 8 build and search for tthat kind of build in HA and learn to play it very well.
Other than that, always listen to the comments and advice comming from your teammate. Good luck.

You say team arenas are 2 dam hard... well for a team from RA it is, but try to get in a team in TA first then, and c how you do that. When it comes to experience... 100 glad points isnt much. In fact 99% of HA players have more experience than that.
Also to ur first post:
Just DONT say you never played HA.

Roll R/D, try and find a randomway or Unrankd group, if you say U can't find one, you're lying, because I see a un unranked team forming at every hour of the day.
Also, when U go to a job interview, WHAT would you say:
-I never worked before, I don't like this job, I will probably suck, but I do want to learn.
or
-I'm the best you can get.
Exactly, you DON'T tell about your rank. If people ask about your rank, you say: 10 fame of Rank 3 (Untill then, U can't show it, so they don't know it)
Of they ensist on R3+, then simply PM the leader of the group with the following: "I know what I'm doing, the bar really isn't that hard, please give me a chance"
If that doesn't work, you're simply dealing with a prick who thinks sway requires skill. Yes, sway, that's the BEST thing to start with as a newcommer.
This should get you into a couple of groups, if it doesn't, you're REALLY bad at some small E-lies, or you're simply really unlucky.
Just learn the map, and then call yourself.

Ah right got ye. Thanks for the replies. I just realised the importance of the SOCIAL aspect of guild wars in PvP... Random Arena was my domain most of the time, where name calling to the poor monks was one of the most common way of communication. >_>
Yup, after reading that guide about "how to play HA", it appears people seem to hate atrocious spelling o.0 Gosh, i thought internet is filled with people who talk like this.
Anyway, I can manage, i'll start with the Spirit Way immediately ^_^ weeeeeee

Just lie when you get in the group, most unranked players couldn't tell a bad player from a good one if you explainted it to them in a presentation with a youtube video to go with it, I was playing with r12s when I was r3 2/5 half years ago, and a r12 back then actually meant something.
On the other note, I'd say get out of HA and do GvG/TA, you won't improve in HA.

IMO you will have way more fun playing GvG with a guild.
HA = rank discrimination ftl
If you really looking for "FUN" go GvG or even TA with guildies

I'm currently away from home for another week or so, but I'll give you some groups and some experience to start with. The groups will most likely be r10+, with some exceptions. Just add me in game at Pleasure Pancake and pm me with who you are. Mention this post.
Don't play sway.
