AB fun with a water ele
yo and welcome to another basic guide of some fun with water ele's (yeha)
first of all: please don't abuse my work here and redistribute this build as your own work, this build is NOT on PVX and i expect that it WILL NOT APPEAR THERE AS WELL
okay so first up to discuss i got a snare build
[snare me please;OgBCsMzA00i80V3u7XD]
equipment: radiant insignia's on all armor parts and a good water staff, i use kerrsh's staff but yea you get the point
usage: the build can be used for effectively snaring other's
use [ice spikes] for the first snare, if he comes after you use [water trident] for more KD annoyance
[armor of mist] can be used for movement between shrines and the usual kite from large groups
casters can be handled with a snare of [ice spikes] and [maelstrom] if the enemy tries to escape use [water trident] to keep him into your AoE
a variant:
[can i have moar;OgBDo6q8SQDMgONIDTDtDuDXDA]
this version can be used to completely screw an unprepared enemy melee'er
use [glyph of immolation] + [steam] for blind and [ice spikes] and [water trident] to keep the enemy from kiting from you
Optional skills
okay so some optional skills to use
you can put in [glowing ice] for e-management even tho you got GoLE but yea this is just a precaution, can replace [maelstrom] or [armor of mist] with it when not facing heavy caster activity
[freezing gust] after using [ice spikes]
nye that's about it
hope to see some good oppinions and advice on further improvements
thanks
note: i'm not responsible if it looks familiar with other water snare builds, i just made this for fun and wanted to share it a bit

Optionally go /Mo and swap Blurred for Restful Breeze to minimize downtime, Maelstrom to punch elementalist shrines in the face, or Deep Freeze for all of the things Deep Freeze does.

I was going to come in here and agree with how fun it is to play water ele in AB, but wtf dude?! You are trying to 'copyright' a build THAT HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE GAME CAME OUT?!?! Really?

Sorry, N1ghtstalker. I used
[snare me please;OgBCsMzA00i80V3u7XD] when I was being smacked around by Koreans in HoH/HA during Fall of '05.
I don't know how recent your build was conceived but my assassin was destroyed by[can i have moar;OgBDo6q8SQDMgONIDTDtDuDXDA] about three or four months ago.

That's where people fail, all you need is maelstrom really and a few good melees. Maybe then people can ditch the SH/MS nuker and pack some GOREDENGINE utility . Not all eles are capping machines, they're forced into that role by baed teams that can't do damage worth squat.
I would always go with mystic regen as a cover enchant in AB instead of aura. really, attunement+armor of mist+mystic is too good to pass up imho.

Eles can bring lots of utility and still have room for one or two AoE nukes to speed up capping. Nukes are important when attacking on deep enemy map but for normal shrine capping a properly configured melee character preloaded with Splinter Weapon and topped with Ancestor's Rage does the job splendidly.
Water builds may be old hat but at least they encourage smarter play than a mindless fire AoE spamming build.

Good eles definitely have, but the ones I see usually got attunement, 5 nukes and aura of resto and flame djinns :P.

on a moar srs note, i too lol'd at the OP's attempts to keep a build off PvX wiki just because he thinks nobody knows about it already.

90% (don't quote me on that) of viable builds are PvX already, and their variants cover another 9%. Most people know of good skill combinations, these get put into builds, then they get distributed and put on pvx for distribution to new people looking for a good build.
Btw full radiants on anything (especially an ele) is bad.
