hey for more then a year now i have been playing pve, but now i want some more challenge.
i want to play HA but you cant get a party if you dont have high rank and if you
dont have rank you dont have party,right?

so any tips are welcome

Easy to play and if played properly it also gives you a decent amount of fame.

Make your own groups, join/make a randomway, play some FoTM until you get a high enough rank to play a non-shitty build, join a guild. Those are the general suggestions given to most new people to HA.

Gaining fame is as slow as you make it. Be nice, take criticism, make friends, practice, learn, get better. Remember that HA isn't all about fame, and have some fun, because a lot of times the one will lead to the other. Playing nothing but randomway the last couple days, I've been getting more fame than I usually would from bad PUGs, and having fun doing it.

EDIT: @ Dwarf, that sway is outdated, "heroway" is the FoTM right now.

First of all use the seach button. Many ppl share the similar problem.

Basically u can't do anything. The pvp playerbase of gw (especially HA) is very tiny atm. The only option how to get some fame (for a pve person with no pvp contacts) is s(hero, 123)way. In order to enjoy sway ur brain must be damaged or u must first turn into a mindless zombie. And u rly don't wanna sacrifice ur free time for something u will not like at all.

U can't even form ur own grps if u wanna play ur own build or something different but lame. Simply because HA suffers from lack of players.

So if u wanna get a tiger emote I recommend u to find one on youtube and download it.

If u rly like HA and u are not a zombie and u have no contacts and (assuming) no pvp experience it will be very very hard maybe even impossible for u to start.

How about other players in your Guild/Alliance/Friendslist? Ask them if they want to play with you. Create a teambuild or just grab one from wiki and give it a try. You can take 2 heroes wit you, so you only need another 5 players to go. Winning could be hard at first, but just keep trying.
And the best way to learn HA if there's nobody who explains you how to, use observer mode. You can learn a lot from that. Usually the matches at the bottom of the list are played in the first maps of HA.

just FYI you have the same problem even if you have rank or you just form for about 45 minutes just so people rage after the first match so it won't get any better.

I'm having the same problem, i find the easiest way is run Hway as its meta, theres always unranked teams going or if not im always looking for one =].

Randomway! When im bored, i can get 40 fame per evening playing it.
I play a [earth shaker] warrior with a sh and a water ele hero, both bringing [weapon of warding] and res.
I add 3 random sh eles, and 2 n/rt or monks. Add a bit of luck, and good teams collapse to that. (sway usually drops at 1st charge.)

Massive fun to beat r10+ pugs with random unranked people.

lol @ randomway. i think it takes way longer to find those pugs than a REAL randomway does (TABTABTABTABTAB)

Heroes run N/Rt healers quite well too, because it's an incredibly easy bar.

Nah, there's always 100 sh ele's and n/rt's ready to go. Takes about 1 minute to form.

Play an sf / sh ele...for all intents and purposes it's the same as nuking monsters, hit the most players with your AoE skills and away you go.

If you want a challenge try TA. Full of lame gimmicks as well but at least you won't be frustrated by Olias dropping bombs. When I transitioned from pve to pvp I didn't learn anything playing HA but I learned a lot, very quickly in TA since it's easier to read the field and understand why you're failing.

Pick a class you're good at, and if you have to pug try asking the balanced groups nicely if they'll give you a chance. Prepare to be flamed and ignored, and if you're bad don't bother.

Make friends with the good players in your pugs/groups. Ask them if you can add them.

Or buy a really good voice changer and act like a slutty girl. ;P

Take it from the pros.

Good way to make a hero rank is:

1. Stop wasting time making useless/retarded threads.
2. Stop qqing saying "how am i suppose to get rank if no one takes me",
3. Stop failing in life and actually turn on your brains so you can at least have a primal thinking.
4. Find what is the gimmick on the moment, join a group that is unranked like you and play until you get a rank.
