That's one of the reasons the skill is OP'd. From 2sec recharge, to 5 sec killed it. Before, SF 2sec recharge, SB 2 sec recharge, all was good. Now, they can pressure 2times more before you can get another sb off.

Fire shields and not balling up should ensure that you can kill 8 squishies using death pact signet.
Noxify, what are you running that you're losing to SF to?
Seriously - I assume it's some rainbow spike with what, a warrior, paragon, mes, 2 monks, and 3 eles? Or what is it

Ok, cool. This has been said 12408124801480times. Now tell me, do you think [SF] in its current state is overpowered?

No, I don't. It's pretty easily countered by all manner of things. It's 6 elementalists and 2 monks. Just chop through them.

People are not saying it's overpowered because the skill itself just abuses bad player placement. I don't know if it can explain it any more simple than that. If for some reason people still can't spread out, then consider ward aganist harm. I've already seen it the first hour of double fame.

I don't know why you qq about sf spike, this is really a pretty weak build.
First of all, sf spike is SQUISHY. They have very little defense. Get some spike damage with rend on an ele and thats a 100% kill. They also crumble against pressure. All you have to do is survive the first 20 seconds and they will drop. That's where nonfail monks and mesmer help.
Second, learn how to play against caster spikes. A mistake most teams do when they fight caster spikes is to stay back and run from their cast range. You do NOT gain from such tactics, in fact you only lose because you allow them to get advantage (going on bridge etc). Caster spikes, and not only sf spike, spike with half the efficiency while under pressure, because they have to kite and heal. When facing a caster spike you should attack with all you have right away. When you get them under pressure their spike is no longer a threat and you kill them.
Third, use +7vsele spear and +10vsfire shield. That works wonders.
Fourth, the problem with cap points isn't Sf spike, it is cap points. This mechanic should just be thrown down the drain. Bring back sacred temples anyone?
Fifth, relic runs. tbh I have never faced sf spike in relic run (sf spikes just don't get past first 3 maps without skip..), but you have more snare than them and you have a mesmer which they don't so you should just be able to outrun them.. body blocking might not be good because aoe will tear through it. Or, you can just kill them, since they are squishy.

also consider [protective spirit] to counter damage
and yes don't ball up because that's an easy way to spike you in notime when they all throw it on you

Also could anyone clarify me why monks in HA use [channeling] instead of GoLE and go and ball up in Teinai's Heat + SH + Cyclone Axe + Pets?

And Calls it "Noxway" and claims his superiority over SF, I quote "SF Takes no skill, SF scrubs".
