Just because he likes to run TF doesn't mean that he can't heal...

I would do no justice if I didn't vote my regular monks - Lil Miss Nurse Gina and Iol Iittle Waffles
On good days, these 2 monks never let me down allowing me to focus on my team's midline/offense players. I do believe its more of a combination of both monks together that works rather than just a single monk. Adapting to each other's playstyle, trusting the other to draw off, prot or heal all comes with experience and constant playing with each other. And surprisingly, these 2 monks do not have a mic (with exception of Waffles who just got one but doesn't use it much )

Monks without out a Monk will never come in my groups...
No offence, but a Monk without a mic can't call dazed, can't call crippled, can't call Channeling stripped, can't call diversions...
I Monk without a mic is a bad Monk, and the only reason bad Monks make it to the Legendary Hall of Heroes is by playing a shitbuild. Well, that and the fact that HA is noob nour, every hour of the day. I skipped 2 times yesterday at what used to be active Euro hour (9-10 PM) from UW to HoH.

A monk without mic still can ping dazed/conditions/div etc. If the other monk is bad or slow in drawing/removing then 1) other team is really good at shutdown or 2) the monk just fails.
And yes, I usually don't take monks without mics too. It does boil down understanding and playing with each other. Interesting what you consider shitbuild since each meta which comes out counters the previous one before. Well, I do agree HA is noob hour nowadays but gaining fame is an ongoing process by people who play HA. How you get it by - Meta/balanced is really up to personal preference. If a person feels that he can gain fame through sway, then good! Let them sway and continue pwning them with your build.

All Right, calculate it.
Assuming the other 2 teams had 16 Rits together (2*8 = 16). 16*100dmg (spirit rift) = 1600dmg. The Ghostly has 600HP.
Spirit Bond only heals for 10 hits (96HP at 14 prot). The first 10 rifts should do a total of 40Dmg (1000-960), which means the ghostly only has 560HP left. Oh wait, damn there is still 6 rifts to go, which means 540HP-600 = 60Dmg overkill. = Dead Ghostly.
Hang on, it takes 3 seconds for Spirit Rift to deal dmg, so they probably also had a "perfectly" timed followup. Assuming they used Wielder's Strike (Pre-Nerf), they would deal another 14*100dmg. Which means, the spike would have a 1460dmg overkill. = an even more dead Ghostly.
Conclusion: the Ghostly doesn't have 2060HP, which means that Spirit Bond alone wouldn't have been enough to keep him alive.
And you're telling me that i'm dumb....

Off Topic
Not sure if this fits correctly in the timeline but Spirit Bond used to be excatly same skill without 10 hits and was nerfed due to PvE farming. If this was the case back then , then you could easily stop double rit spike with a signle Spirit Bond.
On Topic:
Played with many R12 monks but HA monking doesn't really require as much skill as GvG monking, therefore I can't say if there's any decent people around cause anyone who is not totally braindead should be able to keep red bars up with channeling fueling.

the bryan/perfected team was pretty damn good back in the day and alone, waffles is merely a competent monk.
Loki as much as i dislike him is a pretty damn good prot.
Euphoric is a competent monk, not WOW, but can hold his own.

I already posted that P is for Purge should not be listed. haha.
Btw, whoever was talking about 2 rit spikes vs a ghostly... you're assuming that BOTH teams synced their spikes perfectly too. And remember that the ghostly has 89 armor, putting spirit rift at about 80 dmg and wielder's at even less. (assuming you draw the cracked armor like a smart person)

I've played with Euphoric few days ago, and I was amazed that even though this team was a complete fail (it was some shit r3+) and he probably had 5-10 times more fame than all other 7 ppl combined, he always kept the positive attitude and was so nice to everybody.
And he's a good monk.
