We haven't really lost a proper match (no disconnects) since the last monthly and pretty much dominated everyone in ATs, on ladder and in the unrated ESL matches we played the past week, the only guilds we haven't really played against yet that I could foresee giving us problems are [rawr], no one we play against plays their defensive build/playstyle really so we don't have that much experience dealing with this, and [sup] who have been the best euro guild at pressure builds for a few months but haven't really been active lately.

While originally a lot of people had some doubts about our backline I think quest and psy have developed into one of the best backlines in the game.

2) rawr
Haven't seen too much of them yet lately, apart from 1 AT on their 'secret smurf' in which most of their matches were won by opponents shooting themselves in the foot by running bad/stupid builds (e.g. Shat running 2 dom mesmers and dV running 2 necros), I'd really like to see some more matches to see how they will adapt to this new VoD (or lack thereof) but if DM running rawr's build is any indication of how rawr matches will go I expect a lot of defensive play and power flagging with a lord push late in the game.

3) sup
If they play, I really have no idea, they pretty much haven't played since last monthly apart from a few matches on their smurf (often with a bunch of guests) I haven't seen tale or tava on much lately though. If they do play and get some practice in before the monthly I expect a pretty strong showing from them, they're good at both 8v8 pressure play as well as splitting, if they stick to their strengths and don't try to run defensive spike builds like in the guru cup finals I expect them to make it quite far.

4) dR
Again a big IF, haven't seen them play apart from 1 pug of mostly dR people on Divine's pug guild, with their frontline and the extensive experience in playing split builds though they should make it pretty far provided they qualify.

5) Glad
One of the most active guilds in the game that also got a pretty huge boost with the current VoD situation, it should suit their build very well. The only things that might keep them from getting further than top 8 is their lack of experience vs actual 'top' guilds, besides SpNv and a bunch of r50-100 euro guilds they don't play vs a lot of decent teams, I think with all the euros/americans they picked up they did lose their ping advantage which may prove to be a bigger deal than one might expect..

6) haha (RenO)
This RenO remake #458475 has been pretty dominant on pre-euro hour ladder, I don't know if they will be able to participate in the monthly but I expect a fairly strong showing from them if they are. Of course the same thing that applies to Glad also applies to them, not that much experience vs actual 'top' guilds lately.

7) Shat
One of the better 'euro honor' guilds, also got a bit better at splitting lately, should have a decent shot at making top 8 but they tend to fail at build wars and aren't the best guild when it comes to tactics and adapting.

8) Me
Return of the sin split? Me has been experimenting some with different variations of this, I doubt their rspike will make a return in this meta but they might surprise someone with it. Hands down the most experienced sinsplit guild and pretty dominant in jap times, I expect a top 8 finish from them.

Possible outsiders for top 8:

StS
Still one of the most active and experienced euro guilds, not really too impressed with their performance lately but a place in the top 8 is definitely not impossible.

Baby
Haven't seen them play much lately and their backline doesn't make a very solid impression on me, but any guild that has Rau on frontline has the potential to do well.

EW
As strong as they seemed last month, they have been losing a lot of matches on their smurf lately, some with bad builds, some with more or less standard balanced, often with 1 or 2 guests, when a guild starts dodging other top 10 guilds in daily ATs though they at the very least aren't confident. Top 8 is definitely a possibility but with what they've shown the past week I think making it to top 16 would be a good achievement.

dV
If they manage to keep the rage on a low after the inevitable loss in swiss rounds they might have a shot at top 8 depending on who they play, as of lately though the rage seems to be a lot worse than before..

DM
Basically a worse version of rawr, exact same build/playstyle but David The Grammar is no Polly. Apparently they're the best American guild that plays Guild Wars atm though.

Spiking warriors still seems to work fairly well and that's what BdV excels at..

Apparently the second best American guild that actually plays, they haven't really ran any builds lately that were worthy of 'copying' though. Will Badiator Motoko be able to lead his guild to victory from a midline spot instead of a frontline spot this time?

For reasons unknown to me mkay decided to replace their backline for one that is actually worse than their previous one. Apparently Bontard won't be playing the monthly either and I heard rumors about HnS/HGH's mesmer playing for them instead, top 16 should still be a possibility but I doubt they'll make it further than that.

Apparently Noodle quit and made Dom leader, I don't know if they will even play at all, but if they do I doubt they'll make it past top 16 without their fearless leader.

It's entirely possible that I missed a few guilds, Guild Wars has been so dead the last couple of weeks that I have no idea who even plays anymore.
