And for those of you that weren't actually around when the old boon prots were being ran, this is the old bar: [build prof=monk/mesme divine=11+1+3 protec=10+1 inspir=10][reversal of fortune][guardian][mend condition][mantra of recall][contemplation of purity][protective spirit][inspired hex][divine boon][/build]

Aaah the memories. The Iron Saint's favourite bar. Then of course when they nerfed MoR we started using OoB

Then OoB went bye bye XD
I can't really see this build holding it's own in anything.... Boon prots died for a reason.

Indeed. When the sac was increased (it used to be 12%) it didn't matter how good the energy return was, it simply became far too risky to use.
Also: Edrain was always better than MoR. Better energy return, less fragile, offensive capability, and worked with fast recharge sets. Also allowed you to take IEnchant to steal MoRs from opposing Monks.

i wonder how u squeezed insipired ench into that already tight bar...

It's worth making the space when in 70% of matches it was giving you double elite energy management in a meta that was for the most part pretty denial heavy. Remember Stepn's Inspired + Revealed Enchantment bar with Empathic Removal?
CoP+MoR synergized well, but frankly you already had boon and veil, so most of the time it was overkill.

hm, i always used inspired hex instead of veil on a boon, simply cuz maintaining veils was hardly manageable energy-wise with boon already up 24/7.
and nope, i dont remember any such build as that Stepn's one is.
moreover, while boons were still the meta daze was still pretty popular too (least in TA) - having 2 enchants on u could easily own the cover cond.
but i can imagine 2 e management elites must have rocked.

Well in TA I can fully understand why MoR would be stronger. You are probably a solo monk so you need all the sustainability you can get, and there wasn't a great deal of shut down to mess with your MoR.
In GvG all that mattered was having the most efficient and reliable energy management. If you had a stack on you that you needed to CoP off (if you even had CoP on a GvG bar) you could just call for your buddy to throw a Guardian and RoF on you.

actually, dom mesmers (div&bo) were common in ta back then. its just that i loved the cop+mor combo :P.
ppl (mainly advanced teams) ran drain energy too, it just wasnt that frequent.
