Only in spirit teams or with lots of tasty minions running around and 3-way clusterfests where teams wipe every 2 min. Going N/rt for mark of pain is retarded, as you'd just have no runes in exchange for a mark of pain where splinter is better either way.
And are necro healers still even existent in HA? I'd have thought that they'd die off after the SR nerf.

Recent nerf further proves this. Izzy once again fails to realize the problem is SP + 33% stance, not SP itself.

LOL @ increased energy cost of DP. So instead of being a cheap and completely broken skill, it's a slightly more expensive yet completely broken skill.

Doesnt have to be tigers, just make SP disable the use of stances for its duration.
And if you cant monk against an SP sin who is not using an IAS stance, you fail at monking. Seriously... have you ever tried the SP bar without it ?

If you die to just a SP sin you fail at monking period.
The IAS is not the problem.
And outside of the clumsiness nerf this patch was the worst patch in a while.

I believe that was from when Blinding Surge cost 5e, and consequently run on damn near anything. The deadly sins used signet of shadows alongside their regular chain.

Bsurge sin with signet of shadows was actually really good, but that was before the SoJ buff. Now SoJ is just the overpoweredness.
Still in split, it can be a HUGE asset.

then what would you say is ? Everything else the SP bar does can be replicated by a different combo.

The original SP bar is the best example I've seen of synergy on a skill bar. Nothing about it is particularly great when separated, but put together it's like a gun in a knife fight.
Again, speaking about the original bar: SP fulfills the hex requirement for the combo, and snares them to prevent them from escaping. As a bonus, it also closes the distance to the foe instantly, and if you're running Expose it covers your antiblock hex. BoA speeds up the combo so that it's very difficult to react fast enough to stop it if the foe isn't paying close attention to you specifically. Then you have the combo. Energy management, then knockdown, then poison, then a massive damage packet, followed by deep wound and more damage to seal their coffin.
And yet, isolating SP, or BoA, or the combo leaves them as simply good skills. Even later, with Tiger Stance and nerfed SP duration, the recharge matches SP perfectly and Tiger Stance ups the speed of the combo to just below the duration of SP at 7da.

damn not only did anet make clumsiness duration ftl but its recharge is for-the-fail. The only way to nerf SP is to make it cost 15 energy. It doesn't matter if the most you get from SP is 2 seconds, it takes 3 seconds to kill anyone with a proper assassin combo.

A:Its Tiger STANCE
B:Wrong. The IAS rapidly increases the speed of the kill, and speeds up the speed taken to speed your way to the kd,and then finish them off....with speed.
noticed how many times i said speed, its a sign!

Clumsiness nerf was for GvG.
It actually takes 3.79 seconds(estimated.)if my eyes serve correctly - WITH an IAS stance - read above then tell me nerfing tiger stance solves shit.
"Stances removed and disabled for 5 seconds once you shadowstep successfully"...a much better nerf to SP,and make it apply to all shadowsteps kthx.

Without the IAS.
the combo is slow enough to be detected and stopped by any capable monk.
Almost any form of self defense will also stop it due to human reaction being fast enough to compete.
With an IAS, reaction speed is to slow.
