I was just poking fun anyway, the reason we lost that match was cause our infuser was trying to save spikes with patient rather than your spikes being amazing, we actually had you in your base by 2 minutes..

The current mechanics are certainly an improvement. Pure vod tank builds that stall the match for 18 minutes are quite boring to face/play.

A slight disadvantage for every lost npc would be nice though; went from game-breaking to completely obselete :|

Already seeing a fair amount of HA style builds on the lower end of the ladder, tainted thumpers, SF ele's etc. Giant spam battles are quite a bore, if I wanted that I would PvE. The last vestiges of fun in this game have been steadily wiped out this year by awful updates and a sad indifference shown to broken shit by the developers. Hate to be one of those bandwagon "dead game" voices but it's no longer interesting...at all.

. By Be team spike you mean dual ele shatterstone split as thats the build we got top 50 with during June mAT.

Anyway I think the updates been quite good as most of the builds you actually see in AT's are balanced now, however we gotta wait till the monthly to see the real lame stuff.

No I mean 1 derv 2 rangers 1 mes 1 ele, which is what you ran for all of the double champ weekend as well as several matches in the monthly iirc.

I havent posted on here yet till id tried it out for a week. But this new Vod is awful. Basically your ownly real option is to fight 8v8 at the flag stand, if you cant win there your stuffed. Sure you could fall back into your Npcs and hope the enemy pushes in but why would they theres no reason to kill you npcs, they can just camp the flag stand and keep getting morale boosts which leaves you only two options. A. go back out and fight an 8v8 ya cant win or B. head for there guild lord. You can bet that if you take option B they will just collapse on you and now youve gotta beat a team you cant beat in 8v8 and all of their npc's.

There was an element of pride and good sportsmanship in GVG before, most teams would not run lame builds cos A. it just wasnt on in gvg and B. you could be out split by good teams and end up running round in circles why they kill your lord. This has now gone, Lame R/W with axes running round everywhere, 3man dervish and smite teams, ranger spikes, and a whole host of other non balanced uber dmg 8v8 builds. You know what gvg has become already dont you.............................HA.

Is Anet trying to dumb down GVG and if so why??

Please put it back before everyone with an ounce of talent /unistalls. Lamers have got there HA, why do you need to give them GVG aswell.

Doubtful, since GW2 is still far away. So doing something like that now would simply translate in a loss of fanbase rather than moving said fanbase to the sequel.

I dislike the changes simply because we went from one extreme (NPCs being your ticket to victory) to the complete opposite (NPCs being worthless). You won't find balanced gameplay in extremes. So yeah, the current system is just as bad as the old one, just in a different way.

Yes, that is exactly what I thought, from super-NPCs to zero-NPCs. Why so radical when subtle changes could have done the trick!

I don't think the mAT will be so surprising. I expect heavy spikes, heavy pressure, and hex overload. I'd be very surprised if I saw any build meant to gank the lord, which is an option Izzy apparently thinks feasible.

Mitch, give it a rest with your feeble attempts to discredit us. We have lost rating because we took -50 forfeit in the July MAT and -30 due to two errors in a recent AT. Other than that we are as stable as it comes: 1366 peak - 80 = 1286, and our current rating is 1289.
I'm sorry you got farmed again yesterday, but it's really laughable to act as if you are in any position to look down on others who run a spike build for a day in a shitty meta like this. You have played so many shitty builds yourself, it really needs no further discussion. 2xParagon daze gimmick, 2xRanger turrets... real honor. Anyway enough of this please, if you like you can send me hateful PMs or so, let's stay on topic here.

Most teams push right in I've observed. While guesting last night we were getting wiped by the raosmite build. Several clean spikes and we pushed them out, then pushed them further to win.

Gvg fails now it used 2be good i remeber 6v6 when wammos ruled nowadays you bloody got n/a spikes and lord rush its riddiculus and easy to counter especially zergrush bodyblock+kill their monks=terrible heal so wipe would be easy and splitting 2cause pressure they on base is a good idea also
snare+bodyblock=counter nowadays u got sfspike+rspike+hexway+heroway no good ballance besides Dm Rawr dr pd
