The only time I've come across it was when facing starcraft in the underworld, we thought it was a jokebuild becouse we did pretty good against them, but still lost in the end, and our team wasn't that good.

Only lost to it once so far, mainly because our leader was retarded and didn't push for necro, but other than that i've yet to even come close to losing to it.
Just DP out the necro until they have no sigs left and after that it's plain sailing, although the match still might take about 5minutes <_<

Hexes are good vs it.
Kill the healer and keep him down, interrupt hard res.
IWAY doesn't kill fast most of the time.
IWAY is really really really annoying in HoH cap points.

Hexes own iway... and everyone else for that matter.
Iway doesnt have a hard res
I actually like watching iway in HoH cap pts, they can do things ive always wanted to, but cant due to build limitations.
Iway on relic is gay though, gank 1 team, then get the other, and they almost never win.

this build does absolutely RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO all pressure or anything, all i consider it as is grieving because it takes at least 6 minutes to kill all of them. F*cking annoying, i'm having to pack nightmare weapon on my Rt just so i can do at least 140 dmg every 10 seconds, instead of like... 3...

This has got to be the ugliest and weakest gimmick I've seen so far, to be honest.

and of course abusing aoe doesn't necessarily mean abuse fire, earth magic and armor ignoring damage does wonders. I see more and more balanced and even heroways take earth ele's. But really Izzy shouldn't have buffed that elite even though iway isn't hard to beat it's still really annoying on maps like HoH as mentioned before.

Indeed:
[eruption] iway has no condition removal
[unsteady ground] generally stops them from doing lots of damage

1) good use movement control (water snares, earth magic spells, wards, etc.)
2) good use of wep of warding
3) avoid killing pets
some things to keep in mind to beat this new form of iway.

ya but still you have to play uw or fetid for 10 minutes to get 2 fame and you're pretty much required to bring an earth elementalist to beat this $hit. It's just annoying to face and needs a nerf stick.
othertimes they outbore you so you just resign as not to waste time.
you have to bring an earth ele just to beat iway teams. Surprisingly, shockingly I like to play to have fun instead of face shit like that.

We beat it with good ole' heroway.
Tainter FTW.
Leave the pets, so they don't get the regen from IWAY.
After you see the Nec below 50% from the Sacing, rush for it, gg.

A good iway will find a way to get his pets killed.
At first you only saw ranked iway teams, but now, sadly, it's becoming easier for unranked people to find iway groups then hway ...

Come on guys, the 'new' Iway is just free fame.
The only thing you have to bring is a random necro(tainter/ss) or a mesmer (VoR) and if you don't have one, just focus on 1 target and he will die.
Also remember to ball up, so your aoe+hexes+anything will hit them all and your monks can channeltank like never before.
Dead iway <1 min.

Unlike the last Iway that abused [[fear me] to it's full extend this one has no "AoE" and only medicore pressure ... Channeling > Defyway.
On three way maps make sure you lure them into the other team to get the c+space train away from your team.
And be nice to the pets.

Yeah, I have no idea why people are QQ'ing about this...
The build, even tough can be quite strong if played right, is REALLY weak. Just snare Warriors (EVERY team has a snare), Build on them, unload on necro and win...
ALL you need against this, is a water ele to win... (Frozen Burst = bye bye 4-5 warriors)

Ball up, let the monks channel tank, +15 energy for every spell is win. Abuse AoE, kill the N/Rt, move on.
@ The OP, rangerspike destroys IWAY. Ball up, dont kill pets, kill N/Rt, and keep hitting a target till it dies. Don't even bother spiking after they have defy pain up.

The new iway is a joke. It's like the ancient GW joke of bringing 8 w/mo with mending. A bunch of warriors that do pitiful damage (axe without eviscerate = FAIL) and take years to die, + one necro that should die within 5 seconds if you aren't crap. This build is laughably easy to beat, but indeed one of the most annoying builds to fight in history of tombs.
