[[Withering Aura] was actually put on my monks since I told them to carry a heavy axe. They would kite when they can, but if they couldn't, they could take a swing at their attacker. I never really used the Crippling Slash Warrior to train squishies. It just tabbed around applying conditions so every now and then when it comes to the opposing frontliners, [[Disarm] was used to mess up their adrenaline. Against low guilds, I was able to apply cripple, bleeding, and deep wound, on everyone, but against high guilds, all I could do was two to three at most lol. Maybe go back to a Wounding Strike Dervish since [[Wounding Strike] can be spammed more. And then maybe make the Incendiary Arrows Ranger a Cripshot.
If everything is working out, it is a lot of pressure for [[Diversion] and [[Shame] to be made effective. But again, that's only against low guilds, not so much for high guilds.
When the match starts off, [[Restore Condition] is usually shut downed by [[Signet of Humility] without much resistance. Then the degen starts spreading around. And then now the opposing ranger is looking out for [[Signet of Humility] to interrupt so my Fast Cast Taint is spam cancelling or not using it anymore. The [[Restore Condition] usually then tries to start right away and becomes easy to hit with [[Diversion] and/or [[Distracting Shot]. Again with the low guilds, not the high guilds.
The Hex Eater Vortex Mesmer is true. Doesn't seem to be helping much so I'm going to take it out for a GoR Domination Mesmer, E-Surge Domination Mesmer, Power Block Mesmer, or a Psychic Instability Mesmer. Haven't decided yet.
I never really thought about energy problems with the Fast Cast Taint since the guy I have playing it has godly reflexes and almost never miss an interrupt with [[Leech Signet]/[[Power Drain] and his taints never have a pattern, it goes about randomly, but I guess it wouldn't be as good if played by someone else. He also says that people try to shut down the [[Tainted Flesh] on his bar more than his [[Signet of Humility].
I'm going to take out the Crippling Slash Warrior back for the Wounding Strike Dervish and change the Incendiary Arrows Ranger to a Cripshot to have a ranged snare. I'm not sure what you mean by spike protection. Wouldn't that be things like [[Spirit Bond], [[Protective Spirit], and [[Infuse Health]? When we see what looks like a spike about to happen, the Devastating Hammer Warrior knocks down some to try to mess it up. Crippling Slash Warrior uses [[Disarm] to try to interrupt something. Incendiary Arrows Ranger throws a [[Savage Shot]. The Hex Eater Vortex Mesmer interrupts with [[Leech Signet] or [[Power Drain], or uses [[Diversion] to take out a skill so next spike would be weaker or the spike would take longer to use again. Pressure protection, would that be things like party heal and [[Aegis]? My monks say that there's not much pressure with all the weakness going around and with them chaining [[Aegis]. And for party degen, we have [[Protective was Kaolai] from the Hidden Caltrops Ritualist.
My guild is only in the low 800s, but we never fight anyone near our range. It's always someone really high, like 150s or better, or someone really low, down to 3k'ish. When we fight balanced builds from the high guilds, we lose. When we fight balanced builds from low groups, we win. So I'm not sure if the build is not working or if it's something to do with player skills. Either way, I would hate just scrapping the build and going back to balanced without at least working on it a little bit more.
P.S. Better as text? Or is the skill icons easier on the eyes? I know my posts are long and a huge wall of text and sometimes hard to focus on and read, but I have too many thoughts that I want to get out there lol.
