Balanced spike build (big domage)
U might wanna try something bit different...
War
[Magehunter's Smash][crushing blow][hammer bash][flail][enraging charge][grasping earth][distracting strike][resurrection signet]
Ranger
[Sloth Hunter's Shot][distracting shot][savage shot][read the wind][purge signet][Expert's Dexterity][lightning reflexes][resurrection signet]
Read wind up = vampiric hornbow otherwise vampiric recurve
Necro
[pain of disenchantment][Faintheartedness][foul feast][plague sending][rip enchantment][defile defenses][shield of force][resurrection signet]
Monk
[Word of healing][guardian][vigorous spirit][patient spirit][purge signet][signet of rejuvenation][holy veil][shield of force]
It's a pure dmg condition free build thus making stuff like Mo/R, smite conditions nerds and ff+plague sending combo nearly useless.
The damage output from the ranger is rly remarkable and it fully compensates the lack of apply posion on that bar (up to 160+5 from sloth vs 60AL target if hornbow is used). Also read the wind enables u to interrupt 3/4 skills like WoH from any distance.
Obviously pain of disench assists on spikes.
Having 2 purges is not rly needed but during the boom of R/P, N, Me fagway might come handy.

I've seen some people run stuff like it but then with WoD, that hurt like shit as well, it's quite effective.
Oh and

Forked does benefit from the bonus damage on RTW + increased base damage and criticals from the +2 in marksmanship. It's still not as high as sloth though and it doesn't work enchanted or hexed obviously, really big setback for TA.
I like this build and remember being laughed at awhile back for saying that I liked running 13 in marks with RTW, sloth and punishing in TA. Now with expert's dexterity, slot hunter and the base damage of bow attacks is really over the top.

How are u gonna pressure? Condition pressure is just uneffective (or at least, not as effective) since ff, the hexway is a gay build most players would rather not play. Big dmg pressure seems to be much more effective nowadays (read, monks don't have prots anymore, conditions are useless and balanced teams brings over 9000 hex removal skills). Also, i'm not that sure that sloth is that easy to dshot, considering the ranger is under an ias almost 24/7.

Ofc bull's strike is godly but in TA having 2 chars who can interrupt is godly even more. And there is no room on the warr bar considering u must have grasping earth cuz fainth as the only anti melee skill wouldnt be that cool.
Sloth hunter's shot benefits from constant IAS making it very hard to interrupt.
And no sh bash is not better than SoF and dismiss condition in TA died long time ago.

Well the good thing is if this becomes more popular (I hope not cuz I think it's kinda brutal and matches are rather short) we might see changes on monk templates soon cuz Mo/W fortress monk sucks vs this rly hard. Maybe some hard prots?

right .. if anything, it will cause the other 3 templates to have even more defense, making it even worse than now.
the build is brutal, the version with Wail made me cry inside.

Soulreaping would make up for it. at least hitting it on recharge for the spike that's happening is a must, not like your necro has energy problems on the bar or anything. you also got rip, so if it's just one enchant going up you got that to throw out.
i dunno how strong the spike is, but without wail and with pain it must surely be strong enough to cause a death most of the time.
any normal setup will take a looong time pressuring you due to all the defense you put in, and getting a clean spike in each time is a good trade.
huh? check again. :P ^^
also, i'd take an axe war. i'm sick of hammer wars even having to lineback in these kind of builds, it's just plain stoopid.

Me and my guild usually run balanced spikes cause we are kinda noobs in pressure.
This is a modded build of what we ranned cause most of the skills got nerfed or buffed (deaths charge, chilling victory, empathic removal)
[build prof=Dervish/Warrior][Wounding Strike][Mystic Sweep][Wild Blow][Bull's Strike][Rush][Heart of Fury][Faithful Intervention][Resurrection Signet][/build]
[build prof=Ranger/Monk][Empathic Removal][Apply Poison][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Sloth Hunter's Shot][Debilitating Shot][Natural Stride][Resurrection Signet][/build]
[build prof=Elementalist/Monk][Shatterstone][Freezing Gust][Blurred Vision][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Frozen Burst][Water Attunement][Draw Conditions][Resurrection Signet][/build]
And a monk build :X.
Dervish is fragile with all those enchantments but we took the risk.

That's the point, hammer wars lineback other wars. If you are being linebacked, then u really can't frenzy. And if u can't frenzy, you lose a lot of pressure.

I assure you that hammer warriors never lineback majority of the time in TA, such a notion is preposterous!
Sometimes it seems that only way you can get adrenaline though if the necro is running grasping, but being kinda lazy with it.

Oh really. I can assure you that when we face decent teams (don't read good) they pretty much always start by linebacking the war, it's the good teams alone who are brave enough not to do that

Those turret rangers are pretty crazy, was just a matter of time before they would show up in TA much.

I can't see any turret rangers here. Turret guys use flail, prepared shot and bow attack skills like power shot.
This ranger template is just like any other magebane ranger. The difference is it has mesmer like interrupts (I mean their casting time only ofc), DPS almost comparable to a hammer warrior (y pretty sad) and constant 33% IAS.
Add the current condition hate, absence of prot on monks + dshot on WoH anytime u wish and u will get that magebane rangers have to say goodbye.

What about running 11+2+1 expertise, 12+1 marks, 5+1 wilderness and having a 4s natty stride?
