P/? AB builds, help please
I did alot of looking around and can't find much for ab builds for para, the ones i did find where not so great, realy slow killing, any of the npcs at the shrines. Also if i ever got forced into a 1v1 1v2 (due to being crip, or something else keeping me from going to the nexed shrine) and some of the ways they say to rune the armor did not seem seem right. i lack Eotn so i get limited on what i can do. atm i only have a motiv shield req 11, trying to get at least a 10 so i can work with my builds beter, and im trying to get a 10 command as well. so if anyone can help me with builds, please! geting sick of all ways geting flamed in ab cuz i can never do much due to builds ><

The role of the Paragon in AB is speedboost. Paragons have the easiest access to the party-wide speedboosts, and that means you use them. Skills you should have are:
Fall Back!
Make Haste!
Charge! or You're All Alone!
After that, bring some damage. You're not going to be the fastest killer around, that is a given. But you can still do damage, so use things like Flail, Spear of Lightning and Barbed / Blazing Spear.

Create a PvP Paragon. That said, they are only useful if you have a coordinated team (there is no such thing is a 'skirmish' Paragon build).
PUGging in AB is one of the most unrewarding things for a Para to do.

It's tough to find a role for paras in AB unless you are playing with a good group because they don't do huge damage and need players in earshot for energy management. It's also a real pain in the ass to keep Aggressive Refrain up running around so much. And last, it's easy to throw the best para skill for AB (Fall Back!) on an ele.
[build=OQOjgmmZJTBZWYhf7YubmRAAAAA]
That's not a bad start for a support type para, empathetic removal is a really nice skill now. Fill in with with more offense or more defense.
[build=OQGiIxoMFV4UAVQVIKaj1uBAA]
Or something like this for the lulz, again you need allies in earshot for it to work though.

I like PUGing with a Para and have plenty of satisfying matches with Para. They have speed boost, decent spear damage and most of all they normally stick with and support the leader match after match which help a lot on capping. Others tend to stray off a bit (sometimes forever) thinking that another hit would kill the target which unfortunately is not always the case. There is no need to have more than one nuker to do fast capping and a Para would help to tidy up any NPCs that have move away from AOE with conditions and 20% armour penetration damage.

There's the fundamental problem that paragon energy management is balanced around a full party of 8 players - in a 4 player team there's a definite decrease in efficiency. I don't think that there are any pret-a-porter builds you can plug in and let go. Instead, like with mesmers you should make one up on the spot to complement those of your other team members.
Paragon is a support character and fits well in the one-and-a-half-monk concept of build making. Like a dual-purpose ritualist or elementalist it can provide decent damage while at the same time backing up the monk of the team. Your monk will weep tears of joy when you Empathic Removal that Daze or Migraine from her

ok ok i know people run similar crap for gvg, but please... it is so bad it makes my para cry...
Cruel Spear is just all around bad skill. The Vicious Attack combined with GftE (which you always have on your bar anyway) is just so infinitely better its beyond me why people still choose Cruel Spear, which takes more adren, uses elite slot, does less damage (with 57% from GftE and 14 spear mastery you pretty much guaranteed critical on human target) and is conditional.
Aggressive Refrain, while in general is an ok skill, is pretty bad in AB where you need good mobility and refreshing it going to be a pain.
to OP
For AB I recommend Anthem of Fury (your warrior is going to ask you for babies) or Soldiers Fury. Basically anything that would give you much needed adren super fast. Either that or you could go with secondary and take Flashing Blades, Ebon Dust Aura or Plague Sig.
Fall Back! Obvious... must have.
As for attack skills, beside Vicious Attack, I recommend Blazing Spear - good damage, good secondary effect, and Holy Spear - ridiculously overpowered skill... bane of all MMs and spirit spammers, and even if you don't face any - still a cheap +20 dmg skill.
Spear Swipe is a good skill in general, but I can seem to find good synergy for it.
Barbed spear - same thing. Not a good skill for para primary, unless you playing ebon blindbot or something.
In short para's role in AB is dps support. But like someone said - don't try to pug it, you'll regret it.

It's just a basic Paragon template that can be modded up to fit anything. You don't have to like it if you don't want to lol, it's okay to change it up.

This was not intended as a mocking of you personally, but rather general annoyance at general trend. It just gets on my nerves when people start laughing when you show them a bar without Cruel Spear.

Let's all be honest. We'd all pretty much have any other profession in a team than a paragon. Just run another profession, paragons won't cut it here for a newer player. Their best contribution to AB is their death noise.
Had to bold newer so people (cough below) don't get offended.

1 paragon in a team is a waste of a player spot
2 paragons in a team is great if built properly, and the other 2 character slots are very specificaly made to compliment them
3 paragons in a team is beastmode, treat a properly build 3 para team like you would a mob, and stay the fck away from it.
That being said, you will almost never see them built right, because its too much effort to roll the pvp chars just to own shitters in AB more than you already do with a normal build.
And no, im not posting a well built 3 para build for you.
