D/E dmg...wtf?
So I was in RA with a D/E on my team who claimed he hit like 246 dmg with a regular attack...I've never hit close to that. And he was good at staying alive.
It was a heated battle so I didn't even get a glimpse of his elite/skills to give me any direction.
Anyone know how he might've achieved that dmg?

I've hit for like 300 damage with Sun and Moon Slash against people using Frenzied Defense in RA. Not really a big deal.

A scythe crit can easily hit for +120 damage with a +damage skill and/or conjure. Frenzy / Healsig completes the equation.

In RA, since most frontlines simply have a freaking ball beating the hell out of eachother rather than attacking mesmers monks and ritualists, i'm willing to bet anything it was a warrior on frenzy.

Probably using vow of strength and a sup scythe rune or hitting someone w/o max armor or in frenzy like other said. A critical hit with 16 scythe against 60 armor is like 105 dmg, plus the biggest damage scythe mastery hit (after chilling was moved) is radiant scythe +53 tops, plus ~50% from Vow = ~230.
Before chilling was moved to wind prayers it hit for around 200 on a critical hit with a major scythe rune and conjure up against 60 armor.
