Default What do you consider (real) PvP?
I thought it would be funny for a post to deal with this subject, as no one ever seems to share the exact same view.

Personally, I consider TA (slipping to RA status), HA, and GvG as (real) PvP. Then RA somewhere in the middle (PvP with PvE builds), and then aspenwood/quarry/AB as avoiding players in order to kill NPCs.

I guess it's technically how you define "real", in my case it's usually "organized".

Anyways, if a mod would make this into a poll with some choices (I consider... a) all player interactions pvp, b) both random arenas/organized pvp as real pvp, c) only GvG and sometimes HA. I'm sure there are other options that people will be replying with as well, so I'm not so sure about the poll.)

well anything that involves players competing against players is real pvp, but i'll assume by real you mean respectable
the more organized a format of pvp the more respectable i find it. this puts gvg on top, ha/ta on the middle tier, and ra/ab/cm in the lolrandom group. idk where i'd put hb.

Everything with players on opposing sides is player vs player, yes some of them are more or less competitive, but just because a player is bad does not mean he isn't real.

Zaishen Challenge and Elite are on Battle Isles, so that eliminates that option on a technicality.

Where is the option "GvG, Not HA"?

GvG and TA are really the only two that are decent.

Should I even care? everything that makes me fight humans and not AI is PvP enough for me. I don't know if it makes any difference if anyone else would say my PvP isn't 'real'.

Going on personal taste i'd say 4vs4 is most fun, but TA has been dead for ages so meh...

I don't know if this makes me any good at the game, I don't know why I shold care, I don't get paid for playing GW so how others look at me isn't important to me.

I hate all this elitist bullpoo about "AB isnt PvP" "HB isnt PvP" "CMs arent PvP". Some people need to get over themselves.

If one player can run up and kill another player then that battle is player vs player. Nuff said.
