with the 12/11 update, it sounds like a wild card.
Who is rawr playing for?

It's really hard to tell even at this point, because of how they love to introduce huge balance patches that completely change the metagame the week before the mAT. The fact that this was double eurofarming weekend didn't help either, because all you see are hexes.
I'd go with the top guild predictions for last month, with minor changes because some teams aren't playing/reformed/disbanded. Those guilds have been top performers and should have a good shot regardless of how the meta changes.

It's really going to depend on if some of these hexes get a much needed nerf in the next week.
Will it be euro spike with a lingering necro instead of a fast cast?
Will it be the new SBRI spike that came out?
Will it be who can hex the most and heal party the most?
Boring meta is boring. 4 minutes matches = zzz

With the whole WWF/sup roster shakeup I actually think both guilds came out stronger than before strangely enough.
They may lack a bit of coordination for a while though but especially WWF seems to have played quite a lot over the weekend.
I'd say WWF is pretty strong 8v8 but considerably worse when it comes to splits and sup is the other way around.
1 sup - The rotation seems to 'slightly' favor split builds and despite their roster shakeup I think sup will come out on top again this month.
2 WWF - Potentially probably the strongest guild, I think that tactically they're not that great (yet) though, I don't see them beating sup's split.
3 Rawr - I'm sure they'll tell you otherwise, but I doubt that pounds not playing will be a huge miss, rawrspike is timeless, but they seem more vulnerable than the past few months for some reason anyway, I don't know how well they will do vs hexes, but I guess we'll get to see if sup can outsplit them on maps that aren't Wurms this time around.
4 KMD - If we even manage to qualify, we really havent played much lately and when we did it's been with anywhere between 2 and 4 guests. If we get our shit together though we should be able to do reasonably well.
5 vE - Lack of anyone better to put here, though their 1w spike is pretty crazy. And I'm sure they have a bunch of other gimmicks to choose from.
6 AA - Strong euro balanced, not as strong when it comes to splitting.
7 dP - Strong euro balanced, not as strong when it comes to splitting.
8 DM - Because Divine is a hero.
Guilds I expect to dissappoint:
vR - no Lemming no win
NOW - they seem very weak atm, even their spikes are nowhere near as good as before
Idle - StS minus the good players
StP - They've been struggling to get a good midline and second warrior for a while, I dont think this month's people will change this.
That being said it's very hard to make any accurate predictions atm, because of the current meta and Izzy has so far not given any sign of life when it comes to fixing bugs/obvious imbalances so I have no idea but I'll assume for the sake of making these predictions that nothing will get changed before the monthly.

I don't see hexes getting really far once the bugs with RI are ironed out (I'm assuming that it's bugged...), especially with so many split maps. That and there are still enough spike gimmicks that are impeded very little by hexway.

Every hex build I've seen so far has been so bad I can only wonder the thought that wen't into them. If the same kind of stupidity continues, hexes will win you poop trim.

I say DM either goes 3-3 or loses in first round elims this mAT.
I thought lemming was still playing for them.

Agreed.
I'll be going mostly with my picks from last mAT (predicted rank last mAT->predicted rank this mAT):
sup (2->1) - probably the most dominant guild along with WWF, and can see them repeating for gold unless something disastrous happens
rawr (4->2) - losing pounds and getting ref may hurt them in their chemistry and in some other aspects, but ref will bring his own strengths and contribute to a new dimension of rawr
WWF (8->4) - have a very strong roster similar to last month, and I think they'll do better this time
KMD (1->4) - dropped from #1 from last month, mostly due to less play this month and disappointing losses to rawr every mAT
dP (8->8) - they showed us that they were able to dominate all kinds of builds with their eurobalance this past weekend, but the mAT is another story, so we'll see
Idle (4->8)- you can never really discount StS, though the loss of some of their players and reforming dropped my predictions for them
AA (n/a->8) - played very well against KMD both times last mAT, and we could definitely see them in top 8 again this time
vE (16->8) - I really don't know what guild to put here, but vE is pretty good with a variety of gimmicks, and this is the mAT of buildwars
To round out the top 16:
StP (16->16) - another guild I chose for top 16 last month, and I'll go with them again despite some roster woes
NOW (8->16) - not nearly as strong as 2 months ago, but could still see play in top 16
DirT (16->16) - another top 16 pick from last month, and barely missed it too due to rank tiebreakers
DM (8->16) - will have to get lucky matches to sneak into top 16 with tiebreakers, and could easily slip out depending on matchups
tE/Vibe/pd/bOmb- you know this monthly is bad when I have to pick these guilds to round out the top 16...

tE disbanded btw, and Idle isn't really StS, it's just Mel and Crysania and a bunch of other people.
They still lineback 24/7 and spike warriors though.

It's what happens when I randomly pick guilds for top 16 :P
Idle isn't great, but it'd be hard for me to pick another guild for top 8. You have DM for top 8, but I don't see us getting there with our play (or lack thereof) this month. That is, unless we get a schedule like vR's last month.

Way to have faith Divine. Can you please kick yourself from the guild?
Anyway, this month was terrible to do the update since the monthly was close to the last one. Why do a huge, terrible and buggy update when the MAT is around? Not to mention the new snowball arena is going to make this a lag fest. I guess Izzy's mind is on more important holiday events such as cheesecake, ham and twinkies.
Anyway, this will all come down to luck. I, however, will not put DM in my top 8 because they have that mega btch Katina.

new update would lead me to think the guild with the most exp. with the changes will do better. ie. more QP more exp. better chance to do well.
Well I always wait for Asp's breakdown. I hope he gives one this month. ^^
Final exams and the holidays would affect players schedules so for some guilds with players in college in the US.
Should the skills changed with the new update make it into the tourney which guild will be best suited to use and counter them?

I think there will be more upsets this month over last. Most of the teams within the top50 could probably place within the top16 moreso this time around with a bigger sized pool to swim in because of build options.
