Also very funny: Nuker Eles running from shrine to shrine clearing NPCs - but not capping. It's cute, they actually believe they're doing something useful

I hate when that happens. Espeically when they brag how good they are, yet they don't know that capping in AB = easy win.

This is true and sad at the same time. I hate people that just walk off the shrine before it finishes and you're like wtf!? since there isn't anyone else close to the shrine.

Imho, as an ele, I learned that I'm going to be a primary gank target and from time to time I will get killed. Sure, I can kite a bit, but my build is designed to cap and self survival is a secondary priority.
As such, I may well get separated from my group, or even if they are in range/still alive, it may well be suicide to try to get to them.
My advice, and it's probably stating the obvious is the whenever you rez, the first thing to do is check the minimap, get an overview of where you should be heading and then decide where to go.
This obviously does not apply when you rez at a shrine that's under attack - then it's OHMIGAWD nuke, nuke/nuke/pray

In the case of bad allies, I'd see them as NPCs, but with each death = 3 points to enemies. Also I imagine you could use them to "distract" enemies in certain situations.

If you're in PUG, you better be healer/MM/nuker. So you will still be quite useful when you don't go with the PUG.

70 armor melee could be risky without healer, it's cool when you have HUGE freedom of mobility

Well I rarely PuG so always take a Monk in AB.
Also I have (albeit conditional) over 70 armour from a defensive set and Nightstalkers insignias on my Assassin, though I do see your point.
That's why you use that mobility to your advantage and know when to retreat from a losing battle.

If you cannot cap due to defense, try to clean the NPCs before moving to the next shrine. Otherwise, optimized 4-pip cap is good

By the way (off topic), should AB have a faster faction rate than FF in average? Just tuning the reward amount a bit?

I think it should, have a faster faction rate, gives me more incentive to go AB instead of FFF'ing.

I feel the rate is fine as it is. Although it shows when a person has FFF'd a bit when they try to AB, much more prevalent on the Kurzick side I'm sure..but if they want to FFF their title for speed, then why not? Just don't expect to be looked up to very much in AB..

More faction would be great, but overall the rate is probably about where it should be. I do like the multipliers as you move into enemy territory. I don't FFF so I'm not sure how it compares, but I wish those were handled on separate title tracks so that in AB it would tell you something. Hmmm, does anyone take AB seriously enough for rank discrimnation to be an issue if it was done like that? Nah, I guess not.

good team setup is also good
i once got in a PUG and they took it all very seriously, they asked for my build, discussed it and then we went in
the team had a monk, support ritu (me), ranger and assassin, all respectively stayed together and capped shrines with ease

FFF shouldn't exist at all imo. Or at least lower the reward to be less than AB. Exploring the forest and the jade sea doesn't make you a faction hero.
PS: [email protected] deleted is some mod trying to get his faction title atm and don't want fff nerfed?

Well, I play a monk and an ele in AB, depending on my mood. They're both prime gank targets. Either way, I think playing 70 armor melee is no more risky than playing a caster in AB. People gank the monk, people gank the necro (especially if the necro is an MM), people gank the ele who is busy ganking the shrine.

Personally I think FFF should be abolished full stop and AB should give double the amount of points it currently does.

I like it when they do that, if all peope would do that I would like PUGing a lot more. Usually people don't even respond when I ask for their build ><. People seem to think that showing their build is the same as showing their butt. AS IF SOMEONES BUILD IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE WORLD, no it isn't. It's either a cookie cut I already know (something that works), or something exotic (that's likely to be baed). In rare cases it's something exotic that actually works .
Anyway, I usually ping mine right away as soon as I enter a strange team, but most people don't even care what I'm running. I'm going to try this tonight on a warrior with an empty bar .

For those that think FFF should be abolished..that's just out of question (I know, you're just saying.). Some people rather avoid the pvp aspects and like their pve - can't blame 'em. Like I posted, if they want to FFF, they shouldn't expect much respect in AB or avoid it. This coming from a person who hasn't done a single FFF run btw..

I lead parties pretty often. On some maps one could get into a fight with teams. Knowing the build of a fellow teammembers can lead to victory.
If you take for instance a puggy e/a. It could be long distance nuker of any kind, a close combat nuker (starburst, shockwave), an earth tank (or even one of those freaky sinbuilds). In the first fight you do not know, unless builds are pinged.
Therefore i personally see build pings as preparations.
Know your team = Know what you can lead them into

The downside is, of course, that PUGs will generally start to complain whether the build is:
- simply not cookie cutter
- plain bad
I'd like to think my common build is 'just' the above FFF has made it so that I can't use my rank as leverage/proof (so I agree with Unreal wholeheartedly).
