To be honest, im happy I can slot in 2 heroes in any sort of build (tease smiter and tease restorer) and have the heroes be effective. Its easy to get going now because you only need 6 players, before you would need to run some very lame gimmick to use 2 heroes.
6 man balance + 2 heroes is not a better build then 8 man balance, but because it has 2 heroes the build is more effective for bad players.
I'm sure you all get bored of playing against the same builds all day, but you would play versus the same builds all day if there were no heroes aswell, and you're probably running the same build yourself aswell.
If you really want to have fun in HA (I have fun with HA), dont bother bringing everything that restricts builds. So no SoC, Make Haste and other random crap. You cant win 3way HoH/Courtyard but atleast you can have fun on the other maps. Try 3 turrets, 2 melees, WoH monk and 2 heroes (dshot palmstrike and deal some damage!).

Not really.
It kills pretty much anyone if you're decent yourselves and the opposition has the usual tombs skill rating.
No r11/12+ teams won't cut it either.
Taking random builds into tombs is something that actually makes for a nice change and because 99,9% of the players in there are completely terrible and lack every kind of normal basic sense for anything teams can even be beaten without a monk.

"If you're decent yourselves"
That describes HA. In general, winning HA does not show skill. Once you get to r10/15, that proves that you've spent a majority of your time in HA winning. People farming UW with smiteway or EoE bomb or the likes would not win it 10,000-100,000 times. Even Leeloof wouldn't grind that much. What describes skill in either holding Halls for 5/10+ wins, (This comes up less and less because people gank good teams (Please don't respond to that, because it's meant for a different thread)) OR holding a Top 5 spot in GvG. Getting there for a day or two only shows that you're good at buildwars. Basically, PvP doesn't describe skill any more. Get over it.

As mentioned before, this is quite a boring team build to go against but you have to ask yourself do you want to see the exact same build on every map or would you rather go back to the old farming builds because there'll always be lamers.
At least this build rolls bspike/iway/sfway/rspike etc. with little to no effort because heros do most of the shutdown anyways which is why they've all fallen out of meta.
in the beginning I was strongly against the heros in HA but I actually don't care much now because casual teams put together usually do better anyways when you play at not so busy hours and if you make an organized team that beats teaseway, you know you're going to face the exact teams all the way to hoh. (and they have disadvantage on relic runs because of heros)

Oh noes, having fun killed HA...
The build might be terrible but its fun to play and its still easy wins in tombs (provided you dont stand in LC+Nukes with 4 players like most teams do).

As noone cares about fame anymore why the hell would you run mindnumbingly boring shitter builds and not just have fun.
The good mindset would be, max fun with decent fame.
Not max fame with zero RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing fun.

nah I was referring more to what you said about not taking "random crap" that is required for later maps, and giving up any winning chances you have in these maps. Why bother play boring relic runs in halls when we can farm first r3+ groups in the first three maps, right?
And bringing 5 physicals when 9/10 teams got 2 me/rt's is NOT my understanding of the term 'clever'.

Unless there was a significant change in the last week or so, maybe 20% of groups use dual Me/Rt. Most of them use one Me/Rt and some other equally stupid hero or bitch position. But the dual Me/Rt is probably the most frustrating and time-consuming of the setups to fight.

The groups that bring two Me/Rt's are just total fail, not far behind is a Me/Rt and PnH hero. When over half your team is defense and there is no spike besides PS and maybe a rodgorts the results should be predictable.
Overall Gwen isn't a bad choice to bring if you have nothing else but I don't like any of the two hero builds. Hero smiters are really bad on their own, two Me/Rts is way too defensive and a tainted hero isn't terribly useful when almost everyone has high amounts of party healing. Bringing a melandru's ranger instead of any of that crap is a nice way to piss on other heroways for shrine caps and koth, and you know actually interrupting stuff instead of hoping one random tease and p-drain is enough.
At any rate I think the only reason this junk hasn't been flushed down the toilet yet is the creative genius @ pvxwiki is failing.

About the random crap argument: it is very easy to win the 1v1 relic run by either destroying the opponents 8v8(or 6 if they are running) or by just killing their ghost all the time. Same goes for HoH and Courtyard 1v1, so basicly you can win everything if you dont play at peekhours (I play gvg at peekhours).
Vs 2 me/rts with 5 physicals, everyone hits random stuff so they waste their weapons and energy and then you spike stuff down, its really not that hard.
For me HA is turning more and more into AB: you kill stuff and get points for some title while having fun.

Wait what? I really don't consider 20 minute long Underworld and Fetid to be "killing stuff." And if you are having fast matches against teams with 4 defensive characters, you really are playing against the bottom of the barrel.

What you fail to see is rawr won the monthly therefor this game is balanced, and spikes are good I hear. Ran Rspike and it worked well. Heroes are pretty retarded, only good for mild interrupting that's not reliable (letting aegis get off then interrupting SB) and I guess that people aren't quiet to that extreme level of play they lose to them.

To be honest, I thought quite a while about how I should comment on this, and I didn't come up with anything good enough (my imagination fails me today). However, since I decided that I must comment on that statement somehow, I'll just leave it at that. Peace.
