Dont you know that theres more than one entrance to the base on frozen isle? so how could you bodyblock all of them for 2 minutes with damaging BadV lord at the same time? Anyway, with that warrior we would kill you in our base in 30 seconds , so honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Yeah, this game was only up for a few minutes before it got pushed off the list, so it wouldn't be surprising if they missed it. Was a cute game to watch, though.

I have no doubt they would have won without ether prism as well in the swiss rounds. We learned a lot from that game. We understood why we were dying and why we weren't able to achieve kills, most of it having nothing to do with ether prism. We went over at least 3 ways of beating them if having to face them again and decided to go with the nH build, both because they removed all thier utility to spec hard against us (not just expell), and to make you eat your own words about nH and thier build. We even took the honorable route and forgot to bring any hex removal, just to even things out.
The silly thing is that it takes the entire QQ forums to think tank about how to defeat rawr, all fail, and then we have to show you how it's done. But wait, rawr build isn't rawr build without expell!. It doesnt matter. We knew exactly what they were going to bring and made them pay for it, thats what guildwars is all about. There are multiple good ways of going about beating that build, we chose the best one for the situation. If they had brought expell in the swiss and won, we would have taken another route to victory. If we know a rawr spike is comming we will beat it, expell or not.
As for the mirror matchup comments, all I can say is that you're dumb. We play rawr spike, we are dishonroable. We don't play rawr spike, we are dishonorable. Just cant win with this community, someone always trying to tear you down.

Quite the contrary; Shat has been playing for quite some time now, and have been regulars in the mAT scene.
They worked pretty hard this month and it culminated in a very strong showing, beating very established top-8 guilds such as dP and NOW to get #1 seed and #2 overall, well deserved.
The -45 they gave us in Swiss rounds was a humbling experience from which we'll try and grow.
Unfortunately my biggest upsets came in the form of nH and zero, which seemed to choke up in the round of 16
Societies Outcasts [sO] got bumped down to #17 based on ladder rank, tied with Team Chaos Theory [hent] at 12.211 tiebreaker points, which was disappointing :P
Surprisingly good performance from Fette Wammos Braucht Das [Land], scoring an overall #3 after their surprise win over the very strong [BadV]
[StP] gave a rather disappointing performance, pulling out a NOW-style 'pure' spike on Isle of Solitude.
I almost feel as though they could have won that if they just stuck with the balanced that they've mastered.
Personally, I felt like we lost our game vs [BOSS], but after closer inspection it turned out that we scored nearly 1500 more GL-damage by 28 minutes.
GG's all, hope to see you next month

I was counting on Shat in the final after thier victory against rawr is swiss ,they did great work. But the stupidest thing on mAT has been made by our Warrior (AA), because he didnt take hammer with him while playing MHS bar against BOSS in playoff's, and he was "pressing" them with vamp axe><. Anyway, about ~12 minute the morale were equal, and if he had taken hammer we would have won against them...

Shat is the real champ this time =)

No.
[rawr] got a gold cape. Who cares that rawr specced for their own build? [rawr] won. You can talk about how they got dominated early, but at the end of the day they're still #1.

Sorry :P, but we should have luck sometimes ^^
We also thought we wont get in but fortune helped us ^^
(Against LR our warrior specced at axe but he had sword skills so that was also funny ^^, so many stupid mistakes during the MAt^^' .)
During the playoffs we played against shat, wich brought pnh expel holy veil spotless so we were doomed but still managed to hold out till 28 and they won with more guild lord damage. Was a good match tho. At least we enjoyed it
Looking forward to the next month(ly).

Indeed, they are n1. N1 weaklings.

You outplayed them build-wise, they outplayed you skill-wise. All this time you always stood firm like a tank vs any mirrors or even counters, never dying to them - and then u pull off sth like that - whether its smart or not - its a turn-off and a disappointment.
I guess it is true after all that from the competitive view of play, this game is indeed dead, or else ppl would have beaten u with a mirror a lot sooner.

If this was team QQ, I could provide a concise questions such as one that consists of 4 letters starting u and ending with d. If I wanted to start extra drama, I'd add the word Euro to it and presto, instant gratification. Of course, I'd get a whoru in response and be completely put in my place. Fortunately, this is not the place for such things so instead, I'll just comment that rawr gets an insane amount of reward points month after month from winning. Thus a conspiracy is formed - the rawr party was announced when the conga line fiasco happened. It was obviously a public relations stunt. As with all good companies trying to maintain good appearances while they plan the worst ways to screw over everyone else who isn't with them, I'm sure all the prizes and festivities given and planned didn't even to the amount of keys they farm every monthly. Judging from their forums, three pounds is the public relations spokesperson. I bet torsen is the water boy/secretary since flaggers never get a break. I'd offer him a drink but he gets paid more than me anyway.
If anyone couldn't tell, this post was a bad attempt at humor or trolling as even I'm not sure which. To be completely on-topic, half of my predictions were wrong due to teams not performing as well as I originally expected.

What exactly do you expect them to do?? Sit there with the same build? That would just make them stupid and a loser - instead they had the intelligence to know they had strong competition and react and respond to that.
Its not like others haven't tried to Build Wars Rawr before - so why shouldnt they?
3 months down the road, people will remember the mAT winner, not who finished 2nd.
Congrats to Rawr and to Shat for taking a leap forward, please dont lose again in the quarters KMD and BadV

Nop. We just had the build advantage in every match we played apart from the finals.
Oh wait. BOSS played a pretty mean 3-man hex build against our now spike specs (vital wpn stand rit and life sheat). Not sure if they were playing seriously though with both guilds having guaranteed their top 16 spot.
Our 3rd match that came even close was vs stp's now spike on druid's. Don't know how that would've played out if our plan from 3 minutes onward wasn't just to play time and loldruidgank them at some point ;s
We were actually laughing on vent before the finals how rawr would play their standard build with 2 hex removals on monks and whatnot against us. Turned out that the 9001 gold cape winners aren't bad at guild wars!!11
And yeah, quit the bs, we got exactly what we deserved.

Ok, I'm still trying to understand the rewards. If I chose a team, but they ended up more than 3 places away from where I placed them, do I gain any prediction points for that team?
(I chose KMD to place 3rd, but they earned 7th)
Thanks.

This post is just astoundingly moronic. You wanted rawr to play stupider? Also, where do you get that they were outplayed skillwise. Did you just see euros-vs rawr and decided rawr had to have been outplayed? Or does a loss in swiss just instantly mean that rawr are worse players?
Grab a brain please.
edit: Also, can we talk about how for two monthlys in a row the finals have consisted of rawr and a team that was smart enough to just use rawrs build as well? Clearly some skills need to be RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed with, because this shit is just silly.

I was hoping for a rly interesting and intense mirror match, thinking rawr would be confident enough to beat anything with the same build as usual - i guess after that match they just knew that itd be too risky skillwise and outbuilded their opponents, and i hate build wars so i find them weak, even if its one of those better-safe-than-sorry kind of cases!
i reckon they felt outplayed with their own build and hence went for a counter, otherwise they'd run a mirror if thewy had felt confident enough.
at chopy, all pandas on the world facepalmed on saturday!
