Rawr taking advantage of the fact that everyone expects them to run their (hex light) rawrbuild was the highlight of the AT imo. SHAT must have been kicking themselves for not taking expel.
Also BOSS's victory being thwarted by rawr moving locations was cool, as was the counter to the counter to rawr build (vital weapons! +armor items!)
How did KMD and BadV both get knocked out by almost mirror builds? That was .

We haven't practiced actual 8v8 play alot this month, was alot of wanking replacing actually playing. (So we deserved to lose.)
As of to BadV losing to Land, I heard that they had an error on a Warrior at around 26 mins, and would most likely have won if it wasn't for that. (Can anyone confirm/deny this?)

Congrats to rawr for speccing Shat quite nicely. I guess Shat messed up by playing with Ether Prism in the Swiss rounds, but I don't think anybody really expected rawr to change their build.

Yeah, Shat had a great win over rawr in swiss, but they showed their hand too early. If you want to show a build that can beat rawrspike in swiss, you better prepare for rawr's answer in elims.
I don't know if Shat saw the last round of the swiss, but rawr ran the same nH build against zero, who was running a modified rawrspike (which can beat rawrspike but loses to hex builds like that). It pretty much resulted in a conga-less 3 minute steamroll of zero (lol bsurge vs foul feast). Had they seen that match, it might've warned them about rawr's switch, since the nH build is really good at beating things that you would typically use to spec rawr.
On a side note, KMD wasn't supposed to lose until they fought rawr. I want my prediction RPs!

From what I gathered on what I heard from people who were actually able to watch that match:
Shat out-rawred rawr.

I guess it was useless to expect them to show some balls and try beating Shat in a mirror...so they basically admitted they got owned by their own build and on their own servers and cannot stand against them...so weak and so undeserving of the gold cape. (yeah, imho speccing is weak, even if its smart - one'd expect they'd have enough confidence at a build they've been using for MONTHS against someone who's been using it for what..a few days/hours? )
Shat is the real champ this time =)

I can confirm this. We would have won that match, im 100% sure. He errored at 25.30 , reconnected at 27.57 (rotfl). They just rushed our base and dmg the lord, then we couldnt kill them there without one warrior.
We could (should) finish that game faster, wow, 6 of 8 from [Land] resigned around 17 min ....

I'm pretty sure they would have beaten rawr without ether prism on the me/e in the swiss rounds as well, considering how badly they dominated them.

Only thing we changed in that match was Ether Prism to Me/E, nothing else. We played rawrspike for the whole mAT.

RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO! I can't believe I missed it this month...
Some nice points, with rawr, shat, dP, act, BOSS, BadV as my usuals, 'cept for shat which is 'new' this month, they played well the last few weeks. (not just GeAr can play rawrbuild). GZ shat!
Wouldn't have gotten any points for KMD, since I normally put them top4, and they dropped way down (wtf? wanking?!?).
Oh well. *shrug*

Admittedly, I find it pretty hilarious that rawr wasn't confident enough to run their normal build in the finals. That was the first time they had to change their build in months but to say they were undeserving of their victory is just bullshit. They're one of the very few guilds who put some thought into their builds/tactics based on their opponents when playing these monthly tourneys (NOW also comes to mind) and for that reason they deserve to keep winning gold.
